Vichy NormaDerm Tri-Activ Cleanser

Where I got it : I got this from the Vichy counter while I was in Hong Kong earlier this year. I forgot how much it was but this is a deluxe travel size. Vichy has been a very popular brand in Europe and also in Asia as well so I have been dying to try their products. I have also bought their Normaderm Daily Anti-Acne Hydrating Lotion which is one of their best selling products in Hong Kong.

What I got : This is a 50ml tube of Vichy’s NormaDerm Tri-Activ Cleanser. This is actually a 3-in-1 cleanser, scrub and mask. Unique combination of Salicylic acid, Glycolic acid and 25% Clay with a soothing agent. Salicylic acid works to remove impurities and excess sebum, Glycolic acid smoothes and evens the skin, while the Clay mattifies the skin for a clear complexion. It is allergy tested, non-comedogenic, soap-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free and oil-free. Fantastic for combination to oily skin with imperfections.image

How I find it: As a cleanser or scrub, I wet my skin and use about 1cm of this cleanser to my fingertips and massage all over my skin to cleanse. The cleanser doesn’t foam up and it has very fine particles to exfoliate the skin. As a mask, after cleansing I dry my skin and apply an even layer to my face so it covers all my pores and let that dry for 5 to 10 minutes. If you don’t have oily skin, you can use this only where required, like t-zone area. After washing off, my skin feels fresh and pores are much smaller.

Overall: I love the tiny little beads in this cleanser, it really does give me a good clean and a gentle scrub. I don’t usually use this as a mask, because I have many masks already, but what I like to do is when I do use this as a cleanser, I leave it on my face for about 1-2 minutes then rinse it off. It feels like a quick deep cleanse without waiting for 10 minutes for the mask to dry. Especially during winter, my skin gets more normal to dry and oily.
