Fancl Cleansing Oil

Where I got it: I got this from a Fancl shop while I was in Osaka. It was on special – 2 for 3,360 yen which is about NZD$37.90 for 2. Sasa.com stocks the 60ml bottle for retails for NZD$21.10. At the moment, Sasa.com does not have 120ml in stock.

What I got: This is a 120ml pump bottle of Fancl’s Cleansing Oil. It claims to be a really gentle yet powerful cleansing oil that removes all makeup including waterproof eye makeup. Let’s see if it can remove my Loreal Telescopic waterproof mascara (the hardest mascara I’ve own that is hardest to remove, but I love the formula so so much!).

How I find it: With dry hands, I use about 3 pumps of this cleansing oil to massage all over my face including eyes and lips. Then I wet my fingertips and palms and massage my face. The oil turns milky and that is when the formula works to remove the dirt from the pores. If you just wash it off without emulsifying the cleansing oil, it doesn’t clean properly! After a bit more massaging, I rinse my face as normal and then I use my usual cleanser. In the above case, I used the Nivea All-in-a

Overall: I love cleansing oils and this one from Fancl is really effective. It removes my long-wearing foundation and waterproof mascara very effectively and there is no residue on the cotton pad when I use a toner. Too bad the bottle is quite small and I will use this up rather fast, so I only use it if I am wearing foundation that day.
