Shiseido Ultimune Eye Power-infusing Eye Concentrate

Where I got it

I was sent this from the team at Shiseido as a PR sample for their newly reformulated Eye Concentrate (Ultimune Eye Power-infusing Eye Concentrate III). This is now available at Shiseido counters at Life Pharmacies, Farmers, etc. for $130. I always purcahse my Shiseido products at Farmers to take advantage of either Double Points offers or gift with purchase offers. Shiseido often do very good GWP packs with generous travel-sized skincare and makeup.

What I got

I was sent the Shiseido Ultimune Eye Power-infusing Eye Concentrate III (15ml). ” The skin around the eyes is especially delicate. It shows fatigue and exhaustion easily, and dark circles reduce your radiance. Boost the resilience of this fragile skin, and combat the appearance of dark circles in just 1 week* by improving beauty circulation around the eyes. With ULTIMUNE Power Infusing Eye Concentrate, skin appears brighter, smoother and more hydrated. Eyelashes are also nourished so that they can soar to reach their full potential. The result is engaging eyes and improved radiance that reveal your inner strength.” – Shiseido.co.nz.

How I find it

Lately, I have been seeing a lot of eye wrinkles around my eye area in photos – they appear when I smile for photos. Even though they are lines of happiness, but do age me quite a bit. I decided I need to look after this area as the face moisturiser I use around my eye area is probably not targeting the right problems.

I usually apply my serum and facial moisturiser around my eye area as well, but my serums and moisturisers mostly target blemishes and brightening. But my eye area needs hydration, lifting and firming. This Eye Concentrate comes in at the right time and I have been using this day and night right after my essence/toner. I use a small pea-sized amount of this gel-creme around my eye area with very gentle massage and patting motion to help absorption. The facial roller that was gifted to me as well was a little too large to use around the area so I would just use my fingers.

The gel-cream has a refreshing texture and feel on the eye area. It is lightweight and hydrating, so I’m not worried about white heads and pore-clogging around the area. After massaging, my skin is ready for my usual serums and moisturisers. I have also been using the Ultimune Power-infusing concentrate for the face because I have been seeing my skin tone looking brighter and more even tone. My skin is more resilient.

Overall

I won’t be able to see the full effects of this eye concentrate at the moment after only 2 weeks of use, but so far, it is not causing any sensitivity or white heads as far as I’m concerned. It is pleasant to use and hydrates my eye area very well. Works great under my undereye concealer as well. I love teaming this with a bit of massage around the eye area as it gives a nice slip. I have also bought these reuseable gel eye masks that you place under the eye area after you have applied an eye product. They work to help the absorption of the skincare benefits from the eye product as well as delay evaporation.

I am very much enjoying the eye concentrate and I can clearly see an improvement in hydration on the skin around my eye area.
