Medicube Zero Pore Pad 2.0

Where I got it

In a previous post, I mentioned that I was selected as a Medicube Ambassador and was sent a bunch of their products. However, there is one major set-back for us nothing living in the US, the shipping is horrendous! HORRENDOUS I tell you! I have never ever seen such expensive shipping to New Zealand at all. If you are in the US, I’d highly recommend you checking out their devices and they were even featured by Tati if you know who she is. Anyway, I have asked Medicube about their expensive international shipping because they really should look after everyone in the world right??

Medicube is more well known for their skincare devices (Booster-R Pro, Airshot, etc.), their latest AGE-R Booster Pro As a K-beauty brand, of course they have toner pads and of course they have pore care products. Today, I will be reviewing this Pore care toner pad.

How I find it

I am relatively new to toner pads because I grew up using a traditional toner on a cotton pad that’s usually an astringent, and part of the cleansing step. Toner pads are merely pre-soaked cotton pads, it is just more convenient. K beauty lovers started using these pads as a quick mask, leaving a number of these cotton pads on their skin and leavin them for a few minutes and then remove. There are a variety of different type of pads – embossed ones for light exfoliation, gauze-types for more intense exfoliation, and thin pads for a maximum serum absorption.

The Medicube Zero Pore Pads have a regular sized pad with an embossed side and a smooth side. After cleansing, I would pick up one sheet and wipe with the embossed side, and then the smooth side and that’s it. I rarely use this as a quick mask, mainly because I thought it was a waste of product. I only use this once a day because my nighttime routine is mostly copper peptide and it doesn’t work so well with AHA and BHA.

Overall

I have been using this consistently for at least 20 days (morning routine), I can say that I can see an improvement in the overall appearance of my pores. I also see less blemishes developing and when one does appear, it does calm down within 1-2 days. I am quite happy with the daily use of the toner pad along with a Vitamin C serum that I have. The pads are gentle and reminds me of how much my skin will benefit from a BHA. If you have congestion-prone or acne-prone skin, it is great to use a BHA product on a daily basis to gently provide exfoliation deep down in the pores. Physical exfoliation is also great for surface dead skin cells and that feel-good smooth feeling, but it can be irritating for daily use.

I will be moving onto the Red Succini Acid Peel Pads next and let’s see how that one goes!
