Where I got it
If you have been watching Jeffree Star’s videos on YouTube for a while, you would know that he loves this stuff as a makeup primer. Beauty gurus such as Tati Westbrook also loves this stuff. I have heard numerous people buy this product because it is so loved by these two particular beauty gurus on YouTube. This has been on my wishlist for a while now and I have finally bite the bullet and grab a bottle to try since I have some vouchers to spend. This is NZD$110 for 50ml glass jar. This still is filled to the rim, and the packaging is just so chic and sophisticated! I will describe it more below.

What I got
This is a 50ml jar of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. A Bobbi Brown bestseller—a primer plus moisturisation for smooth makeup application (it’s the best of both worlds). Rich in feel, but never greasy, this advanced oil-free face formula, with Shea Butter, instantly hydrates, softens and cushions skin. This oil-free formula combines the moisturising power of Shea Butter with Vitamins B, C and E. Grapefruit and Geranium fragrances leave a light, uplifting scent on skin. With daily use, skin looks and feels its best.
How I find it
This is actually a skincare product but it has great primer properties such as moisturising, smoothing, pore-refining, etc. This is like a 2-in-1 product, only that it does not have sunscreen, so I will add my own sunscreen on top. The heavy glass jar with the Bobbi Brown signature black lid with their little coat of arms on the top is such a chic and elegant piece on the makeup counter. It looks and feels expensive, and the product in there is nothing less than that.
The face base is a pretty thick product, almost like a balm, but is oil-free. It is recommended for oily/combination skin as per the website says. I use a little spatula to scoop it out and apply onto my face with fingertips. Otherwise I have seen Jeffree dip his beauty blender in the jar and apply it with the sponge. I probably won’t be doing that as I want to product to be on my face, not my beauty blender!
You can use this in the AM or PM just as you would a moisturiser. It has a rather strong herbal scent, and slight yellow hue to it. The cream applies beautifully without looking greasy or feeling heavy. It moisturises the skin so nicely and skin feels so comfortable during the day without feeling tight or dry (I have dry cheeks). Makeup glides on perfectly without skipping or pilling or bunching up.

Overall
I think this 50ml jar will last me forever if I use it as a makeup primer, because you only need a little amount each time. As for a moisturiser, I think it would be more suitable for winter time because I do have 2-3 serums that I like to layer on my skin under the moisturiser, so I need only a lightweight moisturiser during the summer days. This product would be great for the days I want as little product on my skin as possible but still get the maximum moisture and hydration on my skin.
I think this would be great for travel if you scoop a small amount into a little jar, because this is like a one-step does it all product in case you travel light and not bring the whole vanity with you.
