ColourPop Jelly Much Eyeshadows

Where I got it

Once in a while, ColourPop does this free international with no minimum spend and it would be when I make an order. This time, I ordered some of their new Jelly Much eyeshadows and their new Glitterally Obessesed Body Glitter. They also threw in a travel set of their sister brand Fourth Ray beauty products. The Jelly Much eyeshadows are USD$8 each and they are 6.5g each.

What I got

I got 2 of their Jelly Much eyeshadows and 3 Glitterally Obessessed Body Glitter which I will review in another post. The 2 shades I got were Halluciongenius and Morning LightOne of our most innovative formulas yet. Jelly Much delivers extremely high impact looks in a single swipe. Super long-wearing, it won’t crease, fade, or transfer; dries down to a powder finish with zero fall out. Here to stay and here to slay! Its unique water-based formula saturates the pigment for immediate intense colour right on application. No need to fuss with wetting your makeup brush or using a primer, you’ll get the look of intense shadow right from the pot.

How I find it

Let’s start with this interesting shade called Hallucinogenius. This is a beautiful purple and blue duo-chrome colour that has an almost brown undertone to it. You can see in the swatch below, that the base colour appears to be slightly tan/brown, but the purple/blue flip looks pretty amazing. WIth these jelly eyeshadows, I didn’t really know how to apply or blend them, so I used my fingers. I pick up the product directly from the pot and pat it down to my eyelid area. I then use a soft fluffy brush to blend it out.

Morning Light is a lovely metallic coral/orange duo chrome. These jelly eyeshadows are quite thick and tacky and there is a little cap to stop the formula from moving around and leaking everywhere. DO NOT THROW THE STOPPER AWAY! You can use this on top of powder eyeshadow to give that extra pop of colour, but use patting motions to avoid moving other colours around. When you touch the eyeshadow from the pot, the texture feels like mousse, like a gel-mousse.

Overall

The two shades I got were really beautiful and very wearable on a daily basis. The purple/blue duo-chrome shade looks pretty cool on the inner corners and can also be used as a highlighter! I am loving these eyeshadows, they are pigmented and the texture is super smooth and not chunky at all. The colour pay-off from the swatch is exactly the same on the eye area. I often use these on their own and they last very long on my lids as well

If ColourPop does another free international shipping, I will pick up a few more shades! At the moment, I hope these don’t dry out fast because it will take me forever to finish!
