How I find it:

Red Carpet Kolour Body Glow in medium ($49.95 for 150ml from www.ofracosmetics.com.au). RCK Body Glow by celebrity makeup artist Joanna Schlip evens skin tone, diminishes fine lines, covers age spots, conceals discoloration, scars, stretch marks, spider veins and premature aging. RCK is fragrance free but is filled with vitamins A, C, and K to feel moisturizing and natural. Once it’s dry, RCK will not transfer onto clothing, furniture, sheets or your man’s suit! There’s no mess and it’s easy to apply.

This body glow is really quite interesting! I use about 2 pumps for each leg (up to thighs) and each arm. I don’t really use it on my tummy, bust or butt area because I’m not showing off those areas. After application, my skin is glowing and shimmering and my hands are like a disco ball (in a good way haha!) The body glow has a slight skin-colour tint to it, not just shimmer. It smells a little funny, but it does on the skin smoothly, however not the most moisturising body lotion. It is basically no mess to put it on and does not transfer unless you rub it quite hard. Really nice product to use in Summer – showing off those legs and arms and neck/chest area! Gives the most natural glow without looking too sparkly.

Reed Orange and Poppy Seed Scrub ($6.50 for 150g from www.reedstore.bigcartel.com). Our orange and poppy seed scrub will leave you skin silky smooth and moisturised while filling your bathroom with the wonderfully uplifting aroma of ripe and juicy oranges.

Oh I have a love/hate feeling with this body scrub – it smells really nice and gives my skin the smoothest finish after a shower without feeling greasy whatsoever. BUT, it is a quite dry in the packet! I can also add a bit of water or body oil in the packet and shake it up! I scoop it out of the packet and add some water to it before applying to my body – it still falls off my body and onto the floor (sigh). It is a little on the rough side for a body scrub, but I jsut apply gently and I just concentrate on areas where I need more exfoliation. Making sure you wash it off and rinse the shower floor! Love this stuff.

Mellow Cosmetics Baked Eyeshadow in Olive ($9.50 from www.mellocosmetics.com). Highly pigmented and silky smooth powder. Applies and blends evenly. The long-lasting and shimmering colours can be worn wet or dry. Free from Parabens and infused with mineral powders.

As I try to open this I scraped the bottom left part of the eyeshadow, hence the little dent (opps). I seldom use eyeshadow daily, but this colour is quite up my alley. This Olive shade is good for a subtle shade and also great for packing on to create a smokey eye look. It is really pigmented and it feels really smooth on the skin! Initially I didn’t have much high hopes for it as it looks like a cheap $2 shop eyeshadow, but it really blew me away!

Mellow Cosmetics Mineral Auto Twist Liner in Navy ($8.00 from www.mellowcosmetics.com). A long-lasting, non-flaking eyeliner which glides on easy and stayssharp. The natural- based formula provides gentle coverage for even the most sensitive eyes. 100% mineral based, with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes.

Another product I don’t use often – pencil/gel eyeliner. I love using my liquid eyeliner as my eye area is prone to melt anything that is not water-proof. This eyeliner is a retractable eyeliner and the tip is quite sharp I’d say. The formula is not too creamy, but it doesn’t need a lot of pressure to draw a good line. However, this navy shade is not my colour at all so I will be giving this to a good home.

Ulta3 Volume & Length Mascara ($6.95). The Ulta3 Volume & Length Mascara perfectly completes any look with dramatically thicker, longer and magnified lashes using its expert brush and lash-lengthening formula.

When I saw this mascara, I already thought of giving it away because it is not a waterproof mascara or a water-removable mascara. As I’ve said above, my eye area melts anything that is not waterproof – eye liner, mascara, etc. It has a rather big and thick wand which is good for people with bigger eyes and longer lashes, but I find it quite hard to use. However, for the sake of a review, I tried it on for a day (risking panda eyes by the early afternoon, yikes!). The formula is lengthening and I think 2 coats is maximum before it clumps, it is not glossy and not matte, but natural looking. Keeps a curl. As usual, mascaras usually stay put until lunch time when it starts to transfer to the underside of my eye area. Surprisingly, this didn’t! After work, I am quite busy until after dinner and getting my boy down for bedtime. By about 9pm I check the mirror and see how my mascara looks like. It has, as expected transferred down to my under eye area but its not too bad. I am quite surprised to be honest, but I will still be giving this away to someone else.

Overall: This month’s bag has a good mixture of makeup and body care. The total value of the bag is $80.90 which far exceeds the cost of the bag! The combination of things are actually quite nice. I really liked the body products and the eye shadow, but since I don’t use it often enough I figured that it is better to give it away. The eyeliner and mascara are alright, but not something I would wear all the time so I gave them away as well.
