Dior Forever Blush Soft Filter
Where I got it
As mentioned in another post on the Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo, I ordered this via a local seller who purchase on behalf of others. I got these at a discount of 15% as she gets this discount from the Dior boutique directly because she orders large amounts each time. I have ordered from her previously and she is legit, despite the lengthy wait. These blushes are usually $90 each and I got these for $75 each.

Dior Forever Blush Soft Filter – 01 Petal and 05 Lily
How I find it
While I already have millions of blushes, they are my favourite makeup item to purchase. There is always a slightly different shade and slightly different finish and texture. The colours are always appealing and this time it’s no exception. Dior has created their version of cream blushes and it’s in a concealer-type of packaging. A frosted tube with a sponge applicator. Not innovated, but it’s a trusted design that works for this type of consistency and texture.
At first look, the two shades I picked up are very similar. They are shades that I can find myself using on a daily basis, and would work on my skintone. Shade 01 Petal is neutral and warm, while shade 05 Lily is slightly more cool-toned and lighter.

Right off the bat, the cream blushes has a mousse-like consistency. It reminds me of a couple of products actually – the fwee pudding blush and a pudding blush by a Taiwanese-beauty brand called CelesteTerry. However, they are both in pots, but Dior has theirs in a tube with an applicator.

A little goes a long way with this brush and it leaves a matte, blurred finish to the skin. I like to dot the product on the back of my hand or even on my fingertip, and then I apply small dots on my cheekbones and blend it out with a brush, using a patting motion. I try not to move anything around by sweeping, so I like stipple.
The blush blends seamlessly and beautifully on the skin. It actually has pretty good staying power as well, even on my combination oily skin! I always apply small amounts and then build up to the intensity/saturation that I like. If I go overboard, I often just use the foundation brush or puff that I was using to lightly tap over the blush.
I think shade 01 Petal gives me that natural-looking day to day look, whilst 05 Lily gives me that spring/summer youthful look. I think during summer, I would be wearing more 01 Petal because it looks just as good when my skin is a little more tan. Whereas 05 Lily would be more suitable during winter when my skin is a little paler and would look like I’ve got that natural, cool-toned fair skin. Hopefully this makes sense.

Overall
I really do enjoy these blushes and a small tube will last me for the rest of my life! You only need a very tiny little dot to give you a natural blush look and it lasts for quite a good few hours. However, I have been also enjoying liquid blushes, to the likes of House of Hur Ampoule blushes. They give a dewy glow on the skin, also seamless look on the skin, but not the matte, blurred look. It’s more of a freshly, cleaned skin look that is super hydrated and plump. The Dior blush gives a more sophisticated look with the blurred, perfected finish.
I think I will stick these two shades and don’t need anymore right now. I’m half hoping that Dior would come out with color-correcting concealers, like pale blue, pale green or lavender shades. I think they would sell quite nice as well.
