Where I got it
I have been browsing on StyleKorean again (!!!) and they were doing a promotion for VT Cosmetics. I already bought a backup bottle of the Reedle Shot 100, and I’m still only about halfway through my 300 and still plenty left with 700. So I decided to try their other products in the reedle range – Hydrop Reedle Shot. I have yet to see a lot of reviews of this line, so I have also picked up two of the 2-step mask in the same line as well (I will review these separately). I paid USD $32 for the bottle and it was RRP USD$43.

What I got
This is the VT Cosmetics Hydrop Reedle Shot 300hL (30ml). Experience clear, hydrated radiance with our Hydrop Reedle Shot 300hL. The Cica Reedle™ ingredient enhances absorption while synergizing with hydrating glow agents for a luminous, moisturized complexion. hL stands for Hydrating Level, a new hydration unit in the Hydrop Riddle Shot line. The Cica Reedle™ and HA-Nano Capsules are designed at an optimal strength to effectively boost moisture, ensuring your skin receives ample hydration.
Point 1: Ideal Ratio of Hyaluronic Acid and Cica Reedle™.
- HA-Nano Capsule: Utilizing VT Deep Hydration technology, these nano-sized capsules ensure deep and lasting moisture.
- Cica Reedle™: Boosts skin texture and aids absorption.
- 300Da Ultra Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid: Provides high adhesion and intensive moisture care due to its small molecular size.
Point 2: Delivering HA-Nano Capsules to the Skin with VT Deep Hydration Technology. This patented technology enhances moisture delivery by attaching skin-friendly carriers to HA-Nano Capsules, effectively transporting hyaluronic acid to dry areas and significantly boosting hydration.

How I find it
So the packaging of the box and the bottle looks just like the original Cica Reedle Shot, but in blue. The Reedle Shot family also comes in pink for collagen, dark green for pro-Cica, light green for Retin-A, and more.
The Hydrop Reedle Shot is your first step after toners or toner pads and before any serums. This is recommended for people who want extra hydration to go deeper into the skin. A hydrating essence with hyaluronic acid is always easy to incorporate into an existing skincare routine. They do not fight or contradict other ingredients, so it is safe to use with Vitamin C, Retinol, AHA, BHA, etc.

VT Cosmetics Hydrop Reedle Shot 300hL
The reedles in this serum is mild, I would say between 50 to 100 with regards to how prickly it is. The 300hL is not an indication of how much reedles are in the serum, so it doesn’t have the same prickliness as the original Reedle Shot 300. The serum is lightweight and slightly watery, it is easily absorbed and does not feel sticky at all. So good to layer under other serums and moisturiser.

100hL Hydrop reedle shot
Overall
A decent hydrating serum with reedle shot technology. Since the reedles in this serum is very mild, you could use it day and night, hence the penetration of the spicules are not so intense. I love my Reedle Shot 100 and 300 so I think I could skip this and just use my usual Reedle Shot serum and add a hydrating serum on top. However, if you have sensitive skin and you do not want to layer too many products, this would be a great option to have to add hydration to deeper levels of the skin.
Personally, I enjoy a hyaluronic serum more in the summer months because they are usually lighter, in weight and feels less sticky on the skin. I would need to use another serum over this for anti-aging or brightening so my skin can benefit more from the reedles. Bearing in mind the cost of this serum, and that my skin needs more than hydration from a serum, I think I would not repurchase this again.
