Dior Facial at Farmers

About 2 months ago, I was at the Dior counter in my local Farmers shopping for their new Dior Forever foundation. The lady asked if I was interested in their facial event going on in May. There was a booking fee of $50 that is redeemable with any purchase of 2 or more skincare products. So I went ahead and booked for one. I was taking an interest in Dior makeup and skincare so it was a good chance to try out some of the products from their brand.

I was on time for my facial and the sales lady and the lady who was going to be doing my facial was there already waiting for me. The facial room was a tiny little room with a bed, a sink and some shelving. Not the best facial room I’ve ever been, but ok, I wasn’t expecting salon treatment anyway.

The lady who did my facial – Bella, asked me about my skin concerns and assessed my skin briefly. I was asked to strip down to my undergarments on the top and move my bra straps under my armpit so I can put on the robe they provided. Then I get myself onto the bed and under some clean towels.

The entire facial was a good 45 mins and she started off with getting my eye and lip makeup off with a gentle makeup remover. Then she used a sugar scrub (Le Sucre De Gommage) to gently massage over my face, add a bit of water to emulsify and melt the sugar granules, then remove with a soft cloth. She then goes in for a second cleanse with a balm cleanser (Le Baume Demaquillant) to get any traces of dirt and makeup off my face. I do like to comment that she was really gentle and soft, but thorough at the same time as I can feel that my face was clean even around my nose, mouth and eye area.

After that, she used a lotion (La Lotion Essence De Rose) on cotton rounds and smoothed that all over my face instead of toner as this balances ph levels as well as provide hydration to the skin. She then went in with an eye serum (Le Micro Serum De Rose Yeux) on my eye area and then a plumping serum (Plump Filler) all over my face. After the serum has sunken in, she applied a generous layer of the hydrating mask (Le Grande Mask) over my face and applied some eye cream (Age Defence Advanced Eye Treatment) on a cotton pad and laid it over my eyes. While the mask is settling in and working its magic, she gave me the most amazing neck, shoulder, arm and hand massage with a Dior body lotion (smells amazing).

After the massage, she gently removed the mask and applied a serum (Skin Boosting Super Serum) on my skin and a rather thick moisturiser (Capture Youth Age-Delay Advanced Creme) all over my face and neck. She massaged my face with the cream on for at least 10-15 mins and that was also heavenly. After the massage, she removed the excess with a cotton pad and let the rest sink in. Applied a layer of their Perfecting cream (Dream Skin Advanced, kind of like a makeup primer) and some eye serum, and my facial is complete!

Post facial – no makeup

My skin felt really nice and glowing, despite a bit of redness which is always how I look like after a facial because of all the massage bring circulation around my face. I left with the Skin Boosting Super Serum and the Exfoliating Powder and I went shopping at Mecca (it was Mecca’s opening day at Botany Town Centre).
