My Althea Christmas Wishlist 2019

As you may have already know, I am a proud ambassador of the Althea Angels community. Althea stocks a plethora amount of k-beauty products at affordable prices. They constantly add new products and brands so if your favourite product/brand is not yet on their website, stay tuned and they will eventually get it stocked!

Althea also have their own skincare line and makeup products! I am already a big fan of their 10-second masks, loose setting powders. milk peel cream mask and their Sunaway sunscreen is my holy grail! They recently launched more skincare and concealers as well so it’s been very exciting to see their new innovations. Best of all, their products are super affordable and amazing quality! I would definitely recommend their brand to all my friends and family.

With the overwhelming amount of brands and products available on their website (and app, so handy!), it is quite hard to choose the top 10 on my wishlist, but here is My Althea Christmas Wishlist 2019 (in no particular order).

Huxley Secret of Sahara Cream – Anti-gravity (50ml). I first fell in love with this brand from their oil and extract mask which makes my skin feel amazing, I went on to get their sleeping mask as well as their serum from the same line. I would love to try this cream from the same line as well!

Belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb (50ml). This brand has been really popular in Hong Kong for a long time and my girlfriend did recommend this to be a while back, but I have yet to try them. I think this cream is one of their best sellers, so I have high hopes!

Dear Klarins, Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop (20ml). A while back I tried their Midnight Blue Calming cream and it saved my skin everytime after I had a microdermabrasion or a derma-rolling session. My skin is sensitive and pretty much everything I put on will burn and sting. But the calming cream seems to soothe the redness faster and doesn’t burn. It also moisturises my skin effectively too! So I am up for trying another product from their Midnight Blue range and doesn’t the blue serum look beautiful??

Hemish All Clean Balm. I saw this from Renee of Gothamista (YouTube skincare expert) and she speaks highly of it. I am also a big fan of cleansing balms and oils and an advocate of double cleansing – I double cleanse EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Can’t wait for giving this one a go!

InnisFree No Sebum Mineral Pact. I think Innisfree does a couple of versions of this no sebum product – one in a pact as a pressed powder, another in a balm-like texture and another in a loose powder form (I think). I think this would suit my skin type and my lifestyle more as I want to take this on the go and blot during the day. Can’t wait to give this a go as well for summer!

Etude House Sunprise Natural Corrector SPF50/PA+++. This is a sunscreen/makeup base and I am all about sunscreen during the day even if I don’t wear moisturiser, I will wear sunscreen. SPF in the foundation is never enough and I wear at least SPF30 during the day. I don’t like too many layers, so sometimes I skip a makeup base after sunscreen and before foundation. Therefore a 2-in-1 sunscreen and makeup base product are perfect! Fewer layers mean faster application time and less likely layering too much product and looking cakey.

Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control. In my opinion, Korean cushion foundations are far more superior than anyone else. They are the pioneers and with decades of experience in creating these amazing foundations for that glass-like flawless skin. Laneige is also one of the first Korean brands to launch cushion foundations (raved by not only Asians, but Caucasians as well!), but I have yet to try one from their brand! Pore control seems like my kind of thing as well.

Primera Miracle Seed Essence (150ml). It was only last year that I first tried something from Primera. Their products are suitable for sensitive skin and even for pregnancy use! I have their sleeping mask and their peeling milk which is very effective so far. This essence lotion is one of their best sellers so I would love to try this.

VDL Lumilayer Primer. I am not very familiar with this brand, but after watching one of Wayne Goss’ latest Primer Hack video, I got interested. He described it as an amazing primer that brightens and whitens at the same time. I am so happy I found this on the Althea website!

Sulwahsoo First Care Activating Serum EX (60ml). Sulwahsoo is a very well known luxury skincare brand in Korea, basically all over Asia. Their packaging is quite special and it is loved by younger skins and mature skin as well. They are pricey, therefore I would not expect a lot of teenagers would be able to afford their products. I am well into my 30s, so I need to get into some serious anti-ageing skincare!
