Bioré UV Aqua Rich Whitening Sunscreen SPF50 PA++++

Where I got it

I got this on the YesStyle website for $15.73. I ordered this along with other Japanese skincare products. I occasionally order from YesStyle, mostly skincare and makeup because they have a wide range of products and brands at a very affordable price and you get free shipping easily (NZD$55).

What I got

This is a 33g tube of Bioré UV AQUA Rich Whitening Sunscreen SPF50 PA++++. Hyaluronic acid-enriched sun cream contains chamomile flower extract, a natural skin whitener that minimizes melanin formation effectively decreasing age spots and freckles with regular use. Potent SPF 50 provides long-lasting, double protection against UVA and UVB rays, shielding skin from the formation of fine lines and wrinkles as well as painful sunburn. Suitable for all skin types.

How I find it

This sunscreen has a bit of a thicker, creamy texture and it if you apply a generous amount, it will give a bit of a white cast or a whitening appearance, but won’t give you a greasy appearance.

I always apply sunscreen, after moisturiser and before any makeup, primer, foundation, etc. Unless I am wearing makeup at night, I will not depend on my foundation for sun protection. I will need to wait for a minute or so before applying makeup on, and it generally layers on very well.

Overall

Honestly, the texture is not as lightweight as I would’ve expected it to be. It is moisturising and would be suitable for normal and even dry skin. On those hot, summer days, this would not be one that I would go for, but I would surely use this during autumn or winter time.
