What I got: I was sent the Za Cheeks Groovy in 01 Glowing Pink and 06 June Bride. Za Cheeks Groovy provides beautiful natural finish with a silky smooth texture. Blends into the skin perfectly. Glowing Pink is a aatural, pearly colour that makes you look like your blushing naturally. Just a sweep of June Bride makes your skin look 3-dimensional and bright.

Za Cheeks Groovy in 01 Glowing Pink and 05 June Bride

How I find it: First of all, pressed blushes are my favourite texture to use – it is convenient, easy to control and is very buildable. The June Bride is more of a highlighter than a blush and I LOVE highlighters! I use my own blush brush which is a more dense round top brush to pick up the product, tap off the excess and focus on my cheeks. If I am going for a cute look, I would focus on my apples towards the front. If I am opting for a more sophisticated look that is more mature, I sweep it from the middle of my apples and out wards my temples. Then I use a softer powder brush for the highlighter – focusing on my cheek bones just underneath my eye are in a C-shape, down the bridge of my nose, and a little on my cupids bow. I would also use this on my collar bone when I’m going out at night.

Overall: I was told that Glowing Pink is a dupe for NARS Orgasm (NARS is owned by Shiseido) and June Bride is a dupe for NARS Albatross. I personally don’t own NARS Orgasm or Albatross so I cannot swatch them for you here. But I am excited to be using these dupe colours! Glowing Pink is a subtle pink with a hint of coral and golden shimmers – finely milled and buildable colour! Albatross is a white highlighter with golden shimmers – not sparkle and the shimmer is so fine it is more like a sheen – when glided on the skin, it creates a soft glow instead of harsh bright area that looks reflective.  One thing I didn’t like was the brush it came with – it is too soft to pick up the products properly and the flat brush doesn’t really help with application of a blush.  Another thing is that I would prefer a mirror.
