Plantæ Hydrate Rose Essential Water

What I got: This is Plantæ’s new Rose Essential Water in a 100ml plastic spray bottle. Bursting with synergistic anti-aging formulation as exquisite as its own fragrance Plantæ’s unique natural toner, Hydrate Rose Essential Water steps the sense straight into an enchanted floral garden while a combination of certified organic ingredients refreshingly work to soothe, regenerate and hydrate the skin. This toner contains a bouquet of pure organic Bulgarian Rose Otto Oil and steam-distilled Rose Water from thousands of freshly picked organic Damascena Rose Petals. It also contains a powerful anti-aging complex of Auvergne Pine Bark and Blackcurrant Leaf. Skin is left feeling smooth, supple and re-energised! Certified organic with Biogro mark, suitable for normal to dry skin.

How I find it: After cleansing, I use this as a spray on toner. I hold the bottle about 20 cm away from my face and lightly mist the Rose water all over my skin. The spray nozzle gives a nice spray/mist that doesn’t squirt or shot the water in your face. It is super soothing especially in hotter weather. I also use it over makeup or just during the day to revitalize my skin.

Overall: I love rosewater toners or hydrating mists. I have used Jurlique’s Rosewater Hydrating Mist and Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. This rosewater spray smells of the Damascena Rose petals which is a little stronger than the one from Jurlique and Mario Badescu. If you are mot good with scented products, you might want to stay away because it is quite strongly scented. It has a nice spray nozzle to produce a nice spray, but not to the point of a light mist. It is not irritating to the skin, it calms the redness and refreshes your mind and skin! I seriously use this all the time – as a toner, as a refresher, makeup setting and a hydrating mist. TIP: At night, I love applying Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum then spray a good amount of rosewater all over my skin and let it absorb. The ANR serum works to pull in moisture into the skin and keeps it from evaporating.
