Where I got it
I ordered these on StyleKorean.com for USD$15 each. They also come in Retinol Collagen (pink), and Niacinamide Gluathione (yellow). I initially saw the PDRN Hyaluronic Bubble Serum on a Japanses skincare content creator’s IG. She has used the bubble serum in many of her skincare reels so I was intrigued. I have also used VT Cosmetics products before and I do really enjoy them, but they have launched so many new products I just couldn’t keep up. Bubble serums has been very popular lately all over K-beauty, so I decided it was a good brand to try.

How I find it
I decided to try the PDRN Hyaluronic Acid one because I LOVE PDRN and hyaluronic acid, plus I actually don’t have a hyaluronic acid in my routine right now. So, why not? As for the Azelaic acid and AHA, I also don’t have an AHA in my routine right now, so I thought this would be a gentle AHA to add to my routine.

VT Cosmetics Bubble serums
First of all, let’s have a look at the Azelaic Acid AHA. This is the ‘red’ bubble serum and it does come out with a very light pink colour to the bubbles. Azelaic acid is good for treating acne, rosacea, redness, and hyperpigmentation. It reduces inflammation and unclogs more by gentle exfoliation. This is suitable for sensitive skin, and is said to be great for dry skin types. If you have dry skin, you still want a gentle exfoliation to remove any dead skin cells, but you don’t need something too strong that would compromise your skin barrier.
The bubble serum pumps out with dense bubbles, I like to use 3 pumps for all over my face and neck area. Because it is a watery texture in the bottle, the serum spread very easily and fast. The bubbles do stay on if you don’t rub it in, but it will run down eventually. The lightweight texture of this serum is absorbed quickly by the skin and then you can use something else on top.
This is just a first impression, so I will update again on my IG account on how I go after maybe 3-4 weeks of use.

Next is the PDRN Hyaluronic Acid one in blue. I don’t think I saw any blue colour in this one, but it might just be very faint. This one pumps out exactly the same as the Azelaic Acid AHA one, and feels exactly the same on the skin. It provides instant hydration and melts into the skin. This will take some time to see any benefits it claims to provide.

Overall
At this time, this is just a first impression of these serums. I have been interested in the bubbles, but you and I know this is just a gimmick there are no high-end technology with these serums being pumped out in bubbles. The only thing I could think of is that it made this, otherwise very watery texture, easier to apply without dripping and getting messy. With a bubble/foam texture, it is easier to pump out and apply on the skin without wasting product.
I am now satisfied with trying out these new bubble serums, I don’t think I would repurchase these unless they include some latest technology, or highly effective ingredients. I would say I already have other products that does more or less the same, but with a more cosmetically elegant texture.
