Jung Saem Mool Double Clean Touch Pads

Where I got it

I stumbled upon this while I was browsing for other skincare products on OliveYoung and I thought it would be great for my daily use. These are on-the-go cleansing and soothing wipes by Jung Saem Mool. Jung Saem Mool is a beauty brand by a reputable Korena makeup artist. The brand mainly focuses on makeup, but also does some simple skincare. I have heard about the brand from HK-based influencers, mostly of their setting spray, cushion foundation and a makeup base. I decided to give this a go as it was not too expensive at USD$14.45 for 20 individual packets.

How I find it

The reason why I got these is because I like to freshen up my SPF during the day. Especially after work (midday), I am often running around getting groceries and stuffing lunch in my face and doing whatever housework I can before heading out to get a good parking spot to pick up my kids from school. I often get to a parking spot an hour before school finish and go for a walk around the area and it’s been quite sunny lately, so I must reapply sunscreen before I head out.

For a normal work day, I mostly wear minimal makeup, but I would definitely have sunscreen. Therefore I prefer to remove whatever I have before I reapply SPF for the afternoon. I keep at least one of this in my handbag and in my car to use when I’m on the run. One packet contains both the white cleansing pad and the green soothing pad. They are not separately wrapped but the white pad does have some exfoliating patterns to help remove light makeup, sunscreen and dirt from the face.

Obviously, it’s not a proper clean, but it’s better than not removing anything. I have had times where I reapply directly over makeup and existing sunscreen, and it would pill and bunch up on my skin. After using the white pad, I sweep the green pad across my face and leave it on areas of my face as needed. Then my skin is ready for a quick hypochlorous acid spray and then a moisturising SPF, either in a stick form or liquid form.

Overall

I think this is a great handy little thing for on-the-go, touch-up during the day and even travelling. If you are worried about pore congestion or acne, it is ideal to remove any dirt, oil, makeup before you reapply sunscreen or makeup on top. Even if you only plan to spot-fix makeup, a little cleaning packet would come in handy.

Even though the size is small, if you aren’t wearing heavy makeup, it does the job. If you need a full makeup removal, I would go with makeup wipes or pre-soaked micellar water wipes. Right now, these are perfect for what I need and I will be repurchasing this when I run out! I wonder if other brands do something like this?
