Where I got it

This box was on sale late June 2025 and it was on StyleKorean TimeDeal for 6 days and it costs USD$39.00. This box contains 5 full-sized products, all from VT Cosmetics and it was an amazing value for money. I love StyleKorean for these amazing box-deals, they simply are the best with these value boxes. They are usually either in a particular theme, or from a specific brand or a collab with an influencer. I have already bought a few boxes and I loved them all.

There is a good 5 months delay in reviewing this box, but I would like to use everything in this box for a good 4-6 weeks to see some results and my habits to using these. I have had a good use with all of these products – together and separately. So let’s see how it turns out!

What I got

This is the VT Cosmetics x James Welsh by StyleKorean. It contains 5 full-sized products, all from VT Cosmetics, and picked by James Welsh. This is a ‘slow aging and lifestyle care box’, and it is the 3rd time James Welsh has collaborated with VT Cosmetics. This box contains all the viral launches in one box – all the must-haves from VT designed to support a variety of skin needs to suit all skin types.

Products contained in the box: PDRN Glow Ampoule Mist, PDRN Essence Stick Balm, Garlic AC Reedle Shot Spot Cream, Red Booster Reedle Shot 100, and the Black Truffle Reedle Shot 100. I think VT Cosmetics became viral and well-known from the Reedle Shots, and now it has been replicated by many brands. It is a go-to product if you want light exfoliation and better absorption of products. From the original Reedle Shots (50, 100, 300, and 700), VT then came out with reedle shots with booster ingredients. Such as vitamin C, collagen, Cica, PDRN, reti-A, etc. Now we have Black Truffle and Dragon’s Blood. PDRN has also been very popular over the last year where the injectible kind of PDRN does wonders for skin brightening, plumping, etc. Skincare also tried ot harness this benefit in the form of a topical serum/cream. In this box, we also have the PDRN stick balm and an ampoule spray.

PDRN Glow Ampoule Mist (100ml). The ampoule formulation, which contains detailed nutrients, is sprayed lightly and delicately to adhere and create a glow. It delivers the nutrients of ginseng to the skin using low-molecular plant- based ginseng extract PDRN, creating healthy, lively, and elastic skin. It is a root ampoule that forms a radiant moisturizing film even when lightly sprayed with the five radiance synergy ingredients of Padialen Essence 100, so it can be used not only in the skin care step but also for all- day care.

Black Truffle Reedle Shot 100 (50ml). CICA REEDLE®, which is 14 times thinner than a pore, is applied with the Physical Derma Delivery System to delicately stimulate skin and help with scalp care. Completed skin irritation test for carefree use. The stinging feeling when applying the product occurs when the nutrients are absorbed into skin. The energy from royal truffle and 24K gold provides boosting of elasticity and nourishing inside skin.

How I find it

I always like to review products from a box by it’s place within a skincare routine. So I will review the PDRN Glow Ampoule Mist first. The mist is designed for use anytime you want to – after cleanser, between skincare products, after moisturiser, on-the-go hydration, etc. It seems like a very versatile product to give your skin that instant hydration, moisture and glow. The formula looks slightly milk in the bottle (there is a small slit from the outer packaging so you can see how much product you have left), and it reminds me of the Laneige Cream Skin Toner. The bottle also comes with a plastic cap to protect the spray nozzle. The nozzle sprays out a beautiful mist and applies on the skin like veil. There are hardly any spots of droplets. The ampoule mist provides a lot of hydration and a veil of moisture on top, almost like a oil-like veil. If you have oily skin you may want to skip this. If you have combination skin, a little might be tolerated, but it you have normal skin or dry skin, you would love this!

I would say if you want PDRN effects, you don’t necessary need this step in your skincare routine unless you need that top-up of moisture during the day. Otherwise, this one is great if you want extra glow in the middle of the day and you don’t want to move your makeup, etc.

Next, it would be the Garlic AC Reedle Shot Spot Cream. This is a spot cream for blemishes combined with the delivery effects of reedles. I already love the reedle shots by VT Cosmetics and before this spot cream, I use either the 300 or 700 reedle shot serum and then use my own pimple spot cream on top. Now VT Cosmetics has come out with a convenient product to target spots. I’m not sure about the Garlic AC ingredient as this is the first time I’ve heard of it. I have used this a couple of times on really angry spots that are under the skin. I can feel the prickly reedles even from a tiny spot of cream and it did take about 2-3 days for my pimple to go down. The spot cream blends into the skin easily without any residue or film on the skin, so it is invisible.

Next one would be both of the reedle shot serums – Red Booster 100 and Black Truffle 100.

The Black Truffle comes out a translucent white gel-cream with a hint of gold specks. I would say these are noticeably less prickly compared to the original Reedle shot 100. The serum is hydrating, and has a similar effect to the original reedle shots. I wasn’t able to see any significant differences compared to when I’m using the original, so I wouldn’t pay extra for the black truffle.

The Red Booster is slightly reddish brown that just blends out invisible on the skin. Similar to the Black Truffle above, I feel that this is less prickly than the original reedle shots. It is hydrating, but that’s about it. I feel it works the same as the original, therefore I would also not pay extra for the red booster version.

Overall

As mentioned above, this is a very late review to the box, but never too late as a review to the products. I have used all of these products for a good 1-2 months, on a semi-regular basis. I find that I have been using the stick balm frequently, and also I have used each of the serums in separate skincare routines, so I don’t mix them up. For the ampoule mist and spot cream, they are also use often and when needed.

I particularly enjoyed the ampoule mist and the stick balm. I love the mist during the day when I want a hint of dewy glow without stickiness, but I love the stick balm when I need a good layer of slugging at night time after I’ve got some good skincare layered underneath. I don’t actually mind which reedle shot I’m using as long as I have one in my routine, I always use another serum over the top anyway. As long as it is not something that would counteract each other, it works well in my routine.

Once I am finished with these two serums, I would not repurchase. I prefer the original or something else that contains other ingredients that I like (i.e. retinol, PDRN, or vitamin C).
