Where I got it
This has got to be my 6th or even 7th skincare box from StyleKorean, and I just want to say StyleKorean does an amazing job with picking the products/brands for these boxes. There are themed boxes with a mixture of brands and products, there are influencer collab boxes where the influencer picks the products from either a specific brand or just a collection of items they love, and then there are brand-focused boxes where the items are from one particular brand, and most of the time ingredient-focused.
I personally love VT Cosmetics and I am currently using a number of their products and have a couple of back-ups because I love them so much. I have asked for a PDRN box via the StyleKorean IG broadcast channel thing, and I am so happy that they dropped one in their birthday month of April! (I am so very behind with posting these unboxing and first impressions posts… It is now July as I write).
This box contains 3 full size products as well as 3 pieces of masks, worth $110, for only $29 (the essence itself is already $39). These boxes are shipped all the way from Korea to New Zealand so they do take some time to get to me (approx just over a week), but they are always in very good condition.

How I find it
I cannot believe how late I am with writing this post. I almost feel like it’s not relevant anymore, but I do like to keep these blog posts as a personal reminder of the products I’ve used and love. These products are also still in VT’s main line, so they are still relevant to some people. Let’s get right into it.
I have been using a number of VT cosmetics products for a while now, starting with their reedle shots, and now their PDRN products. PDRN is the latest viral ingredient in the k-beauty world and also moving around internationally. VT’s PDRN is not derived from salmon, but extracted from wilkd ginseng gowing in clean Jirisan Mountain in Korean, so it is a vegan PDRN.
“PDRN, or Polydeoxyribonucleotide, is a naturally derived compound made from fish DNA, particularly from salmon, that is used in skincare and aesthetic medicine for its regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s known to promote tissue regeneration, stimulate collagen production, and improve skin elasticity. ” – google AI Overview.

PDRN Glow Ampoule
I am quite new to PDRN, but I have been seeing and enjoying the glowing results these products give, albeit temporary, but I know in the long run this ingredient will rejuvenate my skin and give it that healthy, hydrated and moisturised glow. This PDRN Glow Ampoule is in a mist form so I like to use it after toner and before serum and moisturiser for a boost of hydration and glow. Sometimes I could skip serum and go straight to my moisturiser if I’m not going for any actives that day/night. PDRN is not an active, so it won’t fight with my vitamin C or retinol serums as such. This mist can also be used anytime during the day, over SPF, over makeup as a pick-me-up glow booster. Of course, if my skin is already quite glowy from natural sebum, I would blot first and then just a few light spritz because this mist does give you quite dewy, glass-skin glow and it’s not to everyone’s liking.
I am already using this bottle on a day to day basis and I already have another back-up bottle because it is so easy to use and versatile. Definitely recommend if you have dry skin, dull skin, normal to combination skin. But if you have oily skin and is acne-prone, I would only using this after cleansing and toning, but not topping up during the day.

PDRN Essence 100
Next up, is the PDRN Essence 100. This is the essence/serum step of my skincare, so after cleansing and toning, and the ampoule mist, I would use this all over my face. This serum gives you that dewy, wet-look glow that is undeniably gorgeous. Only one pump is enough for my entire face so I don’t look too crazy. I would use this essence on top of the ampoule on wintery days when it’s cold and dry, or at night time. When it’s summertime, I would just go for either this or the ampoule, not both. My skin cannot handle that much. It comes out white, and rather fluid. Very much an essence texture where it is not too liquidy like a hydrating toner, but not as thick as a serum.

PDRN Essence 100
It glides on the skin beautifully and turns clear and glass-like in a matter of seconds. It almost looks oily, but it’s not stick at all. Depending on the skin type, I think this needs a bit of time to sink into my skin but it does leave a layer of sheen, definitely visible to the person next to you and on camera (lol).

PDRN Essence 100
Next up is the PDRN Hydrogel Mask. This is called the dressing hydro gel mask, and it’s just like all the hydrogel masks that are very popular online as of late. Personally, I did not see the same results as most influencers online, the longer I wear the mask, the drier my skin felt, even if I layer a super hydrating serum underneath. I find that my skin only benefit from these masks if I wear it for no longer than 2 hours, or right before the masks starts to dry up. After cleansing and toning, I apply a serum, maybe a reedle shot serum, then I put this hydro gel mask. I leave it on for 30 minutes, if I can be bothered, up to 2 hours. Then I remove it and apply a moisturiser.
Honestly, I am not overwhelmed by these hydrogel masks, they are cooling and fun to see it turn clear as it dries. But as the novelty wears out, I can clearly tell you that I prefer a good fabric mask for a good 20-30 minute, which hardly dries out when I remove it. Or one of those thin fabric masks for a quick 5-minute boost. Not wearing anything overnight anymore.

PDRN Hydrogel Mask
Lastly, the Smooth Skin Pack. This is a quick pre-makeup, sheet mask for the targeted areas. The shape of these hydrating sheets are rectangular in shape, and one sheet covers 90% of my cheeks to hydrate and plump up the area before makeup. I don’t really get the idea of this pre-makeup sheet mask because isn’t all sheet masks or skincare before makeup anyway? If this is designed to be used right before makeup, does it mean it can be used over moisturiser/SPF? Can anyone tell me more about how to correctly use these? Regardless, it does hydrate my skin, and cools down my skin, but that’s all it does. I do love how it comes in a small packet, looking like a makeup cleansing wipe pack, so it is great for travelling and you still want to do some masking.

Smooth Skin Pack
Overall
I continue to love VT cosmetics and would keep at least 1 or 2 products in my skincare routine. Besides their reedle shot, they are also doing great with their PDRN line. There are many products in their PDRN line and it can be a bit overwhelming (at least for me). I would highly suggest to try the Glow Ampoule and the Essence 100. The Glow Ampoule gives you that instant glow, on-the-go glow. The Essence 100 gives you that daily skincare glow with the most concentration of PDRN they offer. I always think that when I want to try something from a brand with a specific ingredient, I would go straight for the serum because it is usually the most concentrated in the range. The Essence 100 is dewy, glowy and gives you that intense moisture on the skin.
As for the hydrogel mask and the mask pack, I don’t think they are anything special and after I finish the product that I have, I will not repurchase. But for both the ampoule and essence, I already have backups.
