Sachi Skin Skincare

Where I got it

I have been waiting for this brand to be on any discount because I have seen and heard so many skincare influencers I follow talk so much good things about it. A lot of people swear by the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector for its benefits for pigmentation and uneven skintone. So during Black Friday sale, they did an amazing 20% off everything so I decided to pick up these two items. You could get this as a set usually and they work out to be 15% off if you buy they as a set ($194.25). Otherwise you can get them separately. The other set is the Triphala and the Ursolic Acid & Retinal Overnight Reform.

How I find it

Now I would like to say I am a seasoned retinol user, having used Tretinoin for over a year and I hardly experienced any irritation at all. If you are new to acids and has sensitive skin, please patch test and check out the website’s instructions on how to use and how to layer these products. I am merely sharing how I use these products and my experience. While using these products, I have been and will be using a gentle cleanser, a hyaluronic acid serum or a hydrating serum as well as Tretinoin every 2nd night.

I started with using both of these products at the same time and I was using it at night. After cleansing and applying a hydrating toner (you may want to skip an acid toner as the CCA has BHA and AHA acids already), and then I use the TPC, about 2 pumps or the entire face and neck area. The TPC is a light lotion texture with a pale milky yellow colour and it has a slight scent to it. Not a fragrance scent, but just from the ingredients. It is very mild and fades very quickly. The application of the serum is really easy and does not feel tacky or sticky. My skin absorbs it within a minute or so and then I will use a pump of the CCA and apply that all over my face. The CCA has a lightweight serum texture with an almost gel-like texture. Light yellowish brown in colour, the serum has a faint honey scent as it does contain Manuka Honey and for people with oily or combination skin, this serum provides moisture to the skin without the need for an occlusive moisturiser. The CCA is designed to be used at night and I started by using it 3 nights continuously, and then nightly the next week.

Triphala Pigmentation Corrector

On the first week, I stopped using my Tretinoin because I wasn’t sure how strong these products were and I don’t want to shock my skin with using 3 really potent formulas. After the first week, but skin felt really good and I started introducing my Tretinoin back into my routine by using it every 3rd night and then every 2nd night. Whenever I use Tretinoin, I would layer this over the TPC after it is absorbed and my skin is dry. I would also skip CCA that night. On the first week, my skin feels alright, no irritations, no sensitivity and redness. My skin didn’t clear up right away as well. On the second week, I started seeing my skin looking less blotchy, but my existing pigmentation is still visible, and my hormonal acne is still there. But good thing takes time do I kept at it.

After 5 weeks of use, I can see a visible brightening of the skin and significantly reduced the inflammation and pigmentation from my break outs. I think the CCA did help out a lot in suppressing the breakouts going out of hand. Keeping that skin gently exfoliated without irritation. Then the TPC would assist with reducing the pigmentation. Tretinoin helps to boost production of new skin cells and reduce production of oil levels. It also helps with the turnover of dead skin cells along with the Dioic acid in CCA.

Complexion Clarifying Accelerator

Overall

The combination of both of these products were amazing for my active acne. Sachi skin does have a retinol product, and that is great for people who have a lower tolerance for retinol products. If your cannot tolerate Tretinoin, that might be a good one to try. However, I love my TPC and CCA combination for my acne prone skin with hyperpigmentation. However I ran out with TPA much earlier (within 3 months) that I did either CCA (at least 5 months) and I would say that CCA is much milder on its own. It works better with TPC or with retinol. I think I would repurchase TPC instead of CCA in the future, but I might give their retinol serum a go to see what it’s all about.
