Chanel Les Beiges 2021 Summer Light

Where I got it

I went into the Britomart Chanel Beauty boutique recently while I was out shopping in town. I always visit the Chanel Beauty boutique when I’m in town because I love the luxury shopping experience. They also have perfume and sunglasses. They offer you sparkling water, little snacks and the overall packaging that you come out with are all worth the trip. I usually buy Chanel makeup at my local Farmers counter and I get points for money I spend and when they do Double Points offer (basically 10% off). But I always come out of the Chanel Beauty boutique with plenty of skincare and perfume samples anyway.

Anyway, I was not expecting to see the new Les Beiges 2021 collection in store. The collection contains 2 Les Beiges Eyeshadow Palette (5 shades), 4 nail polishes, 4 new Rouge Coco Flash shades (2 of them are limited edition) as well as a new darker shade of the Soleil Tan Bronzer. I picked up one of the Les Beiges Eyeshadow Palette in Tender which is the pinky version instead of the gold/olive version. I also picked up one of the Rouge Coco Flash and 2 nail polishes.

What I got

In this post, I’m sharing with you some of the products in the Chanel Les Beiges 2021 Summer Light collection. Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette in Tender, Rouge Coco Flash in 162 Sunbeam and nail polishes in shades 895 Sunlight and 897 Golden Sand.

How I find it

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow (Tender). This palette contains a pale pink, a deep reddened brown, a sparkling champagne-nude, a glittery pink, and a medium pink rose. The shades are really finely milled and really soft and smooth. The soft shimmer is really subtle and not chunky. It feels really creamy on the fingers and it doesn’t apply powdery or chalky. Pigmentation is not high, but more of a medium except for the shimmer (bottom left) which is quite sheer and a little difficult to work with. Other that the shimmer shade, all other shades applied like a dream. I love the overall look this palette creates. It is not a creative sort of palette where you can create multiple looks, but if you are looking for something like that you shouldn’t be purchasing this palette anyway. I love how you can wear the shades light or deepen it up with the deeper shades.

The Le Vernis shades for this collection is really my kind of shades. When I saw other people wearing these shades on IG, I was immediately drawn. I picked the middle two shades and I skipped the lightest shade because I wanted something with a pearl finish. I am contemplating getting the deepest shade as well because it looks so pretty! 895 Sunlight is more of a light golden bronzer, whilst 897 Golden Sand has a hint of rosy tones in it. Both of them looks amazing on their own or used together as I did below. It’s fun, but not obvious that I have two different colours on my nails. Definitely one of the best shades I own from Chanel.

I only picked up one of the Rouge Coco Flash this time because when I saw 162 Sunbeam, it reminded me of my favourite 132 Flushed which was a limited edition from maybe 3 collections back. I love love love Flushed and I was sad to not get a backup. The other shades in the collection are really pretty, but I felt like I did not need any more lipsticks at the moment. However, I would have to say that the Rouge Coco Flash is my favourite formula from Chanel. They are comfortable on the lips, they leave a beautiful balm-like glossy finish and feels really hydrating on the lips.

As you can see, 162 Sunbeam is slightly on the peachy tone compared to 132 Flushed, but on the lips, you can hardly see a difference. It enhances my natural lip colour and gives me this very natural pinky hint of colour and I love it!

Overall

I really like the colours of this collection, especially the nail polishes. I think the 4 shades go so well together but they also look amazing on their own. So wearable in any season! The Rouge Coco Flash shades are very pretty and go very well with the eyeshadow palette look. The colours of the Tender palette are really easy to wear and put together, and it looks great for spring/summer. The formula is really creamy and soft, but the pan shape and size is just not what I prefer. I would much prefer the quad palettes they do in terms of accessibility.

Here are some looks I did with the palette. They are very similar, but the first one I used more of the deepest shade and for the second look I did not use the deepest shade. If you like to wear smokey shades, you might layer the deeper shade more and maybe not use the shimmer shades.

I have not decided to purchase the other eyeshadow palette because that olive and green tones are not really what I like to wear on my eyes. I might pick up another shade from the Rouge Coco Flash, but not confirmed yet. But I will definitely pick up the deepest shade from the nail polish selection because it looks so gorgeous! As for the Soleil Tan Bronzer, that new shade is not my skin tone and I still have heaps of the old formula left!

Have you tried any of the new releases? If you have, what is your favourite product?
