L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil

Where I got it

I have been wanting to try this body oil for a while and they have been sold out for a while as well. So when I was just casually browsing through the shop for the new Immortelle Reset Triphase Essence, I saw this and grabbed it. It was $84 for 100ml.

L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil

What I got

This is the L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil (100ml). Formulated with more than 50% almond oil, the light, fine Almond Supple Skin Oil effectively helps skin feel firmer and smoother. Skin feels nourished and more supple thanks to the ideal combination of almond oil and camelina oil, rich in omegas 3 and 6. This balance provides suppleness and comfort to the skin. A silicium derivative leaves skin looking firmer and tighter. Applied with a spray, this oil melts into the skin, enveloping it with a subtle and mouth-watering scent of fresh almonds while leaving a delicious satiny-smooth finish. After one month of use, skin feels more comfortable, supple, and firmer. The almond nut, which grows protected in a beautifully soft and green velvet shell, is renowned for its ability to soften and smooth the skin. L’OCCITANE is committed to purchasing almonds from producers in the South of France so that the almond tree, which had long been forgotten in the region, once again becomes a familiar element in the Provençal landscape.

L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil

How I find it

This is a body oil and I like to use it twice a day, but it works best after a shower while your skin is slightly damp. The oil locks in the hydration and prevents trans-epidermal water loss. The texture of this body oil is quite lightweight and easy to spread. It doesn’t feel greasy and slippery on the skin and is absorbed quickly. It doesn’t disappear completely, of course, but it does leave a sheer layer on the skin and a very pleasant scent as well.

Overall

I am so happy with this purchase and I have already used maybe about 1/8 of this bottle already because I consistently use this day and night. My favourite part would have to be the scent that it leaves. It smells exactly the same as everything else in the almond range, but once the oil sinks into the skin, it kind of leaves this crisper and a fresher note than the intoxicating sweet almond scent. My skin has also seen improvements in moisture levels. My knee and elbow are always dry to the point it gets pigmented or has a whitish look to it (dead skin cells), but after only 3 days of consistent use, that is all gone and my skin feels “supple”. I will definitely repurchase this.
