Quality First Queen’s Premium Quick Moisturising Rescue Mask

Where I got it

I have seen a Hong Kong Beauty blogger I follow, recommended this budget-friendly sheet mask in a number of occasions for sensitive skin. I did not expect to be able to find this in stores in New Zealand, but I didn’t think of going through the hassle of looking for it online. So I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it and quickly snapped it up. This is $14.70 for 4 sheet masks which works out to be approx $3.70 per sheet. Pretty good I reckon. They also come in the orange colour which is for sensitive skin.

How I find it

The language on the box are all in Japanese and even though there is translation, they are all translations of the ingredients, but not the other information including directions of use. I usually should be able to make out how long to keep it in with my limited knowledge of the Japanese language. This time, however, it seems like you just leave this on for 1 minute?? I was confused, but there really ain’t any other information I can see on the box or the mask packaging.

Anyway, as usual, I wash and tone my face before I use any sheet mask. I also like to massage the packet of mask a little to ensure the essence is distributed evenly. Then I pull out the sheet mask and spread it out on my face. There isn’t any backing sheets for this mask and the sheet material is cloth-like and very translucent. It is drenched with serum – xxml per sheet mask, but not dripping.

I put it on and waited for about 10 minutes and then removed the mask. The mask sheet was still drenched and absolutely nowhere was dried. I prefer to remove sheet masks that are still wet so that I know it hasn’t dried out at and my skin’s moisture doesn’t get sucked out. My skin felt plump and hydrated, skincare goes on better.

Overall

This mask is really hydrating and soothing for my combination skin. I took this on a weekend trip with my sisters where the temperature was quite cold at night and we blasted the heater on high. Each mask is full of essence/serum so that it did not dry out on my skin even after 20 minutes of use and once I have removed it from my face. The hydration lasts a very long time, overnight in a dry, cold climate! I will definitely repurchase.
