L’Oréal Revitalift Laser Renew Glycolic Peel pads

Where I got it

I picked this up at The Chemist Warehouse for $31.49 while they were new and on special. They are RRP $44.99. You can find these from Farmers, leading pharmacies and some supermarkets.

What I got

This is the L’Oréal Revitalift Laser Renew Glycolic Peel pads (30 pads). Ready-to-use glycolic acid pads, with 9.6% glycolic complex. Pre-soaked double sided pads, with a textured side for stronger exfoliation and a smooth side for softer exfoliation. Inspired by professional treatments, Revitalift Laser Renew Anti-Ageing Glycolic Peel Pads are enriched with glycolic acid to help remove dead skin cells and boost your daily anti-ageing routine. Intensive re-surfacing action means wrinkles are reduced and skin tone is more unified. Soothing agents help to rebalance the skin during use and reduce the risk of irritation. After 1 pad skin is clarified, smoother and more radiant. Use for 4 weeks produces a more visibly even skin tone, improved texture and a reduction of wrinkles. Suitable for all skin types.

These pads come in a plastic container and a plastic lid with minima airseal. There is a foil cover that you need to peel off but once that is off, the pads do dry out rather fast. I kept the foil cover on to try and keep it fresh, but I did not manage to use al the pads continuously so the pads did dry out a bit when I decided to use to again.

Initially I used it on my face, at night after cleansing. Which felt alright, no irritation. It doesn’t sting or make my skin look red, and I just followed with my Biologi Bd serum. After listening to one of the Adore Beauty Beauty IQ podcast, they were recommending the Alpha-H Liquid Gold on cracked heels! I was so interested to try, but I’m not boujee enough to use Liquid Gold on my heels! I decided to use these pads to my heels instead (you can also use glycolic toner by The Ordinary).

Overall

I have used this on my heels for about 4 days in a row after a shower and I do see some difference, even though it’s not transformative, but I can see progress. Skin is not as dry and cracking, it is smoother to touch and does not catch my bed sheets (yes, ew, I know, but that was how bad it was). You definitely need to use a foot file to get rid of any hard, built-up skin before using these pads and you will need to use it every day for at least 2 weeks I think? I will continue to use these on my heels until they finish and I will use the Ordinary Glycolic Toner after that.

As for using these on the face, I think it will be great if you are quite new to the actives and acids bandwagon because it is quite gentle. However, the pads dry out quite fast so make sure you do use it at least every second day. If it starts to dry out, use it on your elbows or knees or heels where skin can get dry and hard, it definitely helps.
