Too Faced Dew You Fresh Glow Setting Spray

Where I got it

I was really drawn to Too Faced Tutti Fruitti collection that was launched quite a while ago (it was only available at Mecca Maxima in NZ for about a year?). I really liked the products – the packaging, the scent and the products! I already have the Peach Perfect Foundation, the mattifying loose powder, the melting powder highlighter, and the blush and bronzer duo.

When Too Faced was brining out additional products in the range. I instantly wanted to pick up more, but I didn’t expect myself to pick up the setting spray and the powder puff lip colour! This setting spray was RRP$52.

How I find it

I fell in love with this setting spray when I smelt it in the store – smells like watermelons!!! Aggghhh!! I die. The bottle is cute and even the spray nozzle is amazing! It gives off a mist instead of a spray if you know what the difference is. Try comparing it to a MAC Fix+ and this and you will understand.

It smells like watermelon and it has a rather sweet watermelon scent that is similar to Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow mist, but it is slightly sweeter. The mist is really fine and it does give a very hint of sheen to the skin – not glitter, not shimmer, a nice glowing sheen. You can’t really see the reflects once the product settles on the skin but it does give a glowly look.

The glow is subtle but it is there and you can sort of build it up if you want to – just apply more! I tried to spray it on a piece of white tissue paper and saw that the formula is a little pink-beige tinted with a bit of that fine illuminating particle in it. It really does look amazing on the skin. I would say that this would be suitable for oily skin too if you don’t mind a bit of natural glow or dewiness and if you are wearing a somewhat mattifying primer or foundation that you are able to give back your skin a bit of glow. This won’t make your skin look like a disco ball, but instead it will provide some dewiness to the skin.

Overall

I’m enjoying the setting spray to give my skin a nice dewy finish, but I can’t say that this prolongs the wear of my makeup a lot. Once my natural oils come through, my makeup would move like it would usually do (depending on my foundation). I would like to try the matttifying setting spray from the previous launch, but nice heard bad reviews on it because it has a bad spray nozzle and it deposited specks if white powder (mattifying formula usually has powders in it). I’m not even sure if they have been discontinued?

Anyway, you would love this setting spray if you want a dewy finish and not really have a problem with makeup melting or moving during the day.
