Maybelline Lash Sensational Boosting Serum

Where I got it

I got this from my local Countdown for around $20 from $26.99 (Countdown was doing a 25% off all Maybelline product offer that day). I have checked Farmers and Chemist Warehouse for this and I couldn’t find it. I will check Life Pharmacy as well next.  But this is a relatively new product that Maybelline has launched. L’Oreal launched a new lash serum too, but I will give this a good go before purchasing that one.

How I find it

As of the entire 2018, I have been loyally and religiously applying Revitalash because that stuff works! However, I have just finished a tube and even though I have a backup, I want to see how my lashes would be like if I stopped for a while or try something else (I love trying new products).

So, this lash serum has a rafter different applicator than my Revitalash – this one has an almost spoolie applicator, but instead of plastic bristles, it has cotton bristles. If you have tried one of those fibre mascaras, this is like the wand that applies those lash fibres. The formula is clear and the bristles don’t get overloaded with the product so that is good. I get a good even layer or 2 on my lashes and wait for it to dry before applying my mascaras, etc. I apply this day and night and it doesn’t really dry down with anything, it just dries and disappears.

With this applicator, I can also easily apply to my lower lashes, because with the Revitalash wand (super slim brush tip), it can be a little difficult to apply to my lower lashes (so very small). So far, no irritation to my eyes or eye area so I will continue to use this for at least 4 weeks before I wrap this one up.

Overall

After around 3 months of use, I can now conclude my opinion and views on this. First of all, it didn’t cause any irritation for my eyes at all, the formula is wet and does take a little time to dry up. I don’t really see dramatic results for longer and fuller lashes, but my lashes do look stronger and more resilient because they don’t fall out as much as they did before using any lash serum.

I have been using the RevitaLash for at least a year and have stopped to try this out. I can definitely see the difference between this and the RevitaLash. I get long fluttery lashes with RevitaLash but not with this one. Both lash serum doesn’t really give me really full volume, but I would say that I prefer this applicator far more than the RevitaLash because it is so easy and quick.

I will definitely finish this tube first, and maybe try out the L’Oréal Lash Serum before I go back to RevitaLash? Which lash serum have you tried and worked for you?
