Makeup Revolution Nudes Collection Matte

Where I got it

Last week was Farmers Beauty Week and they had so many different offers such as double points, gift with purchase and discounts. I did an unboxing of my Farmers haul on my Instastory so make sure you are following me to see more unboxing in the future! Anyway, Makeup Revolution and Milani were also 20% off so I took the opportunity to grab some items. I got this lipgloss and a jelly highlighter for $7.20 and $12.80 after discount.

What I got

This is the Makeup Revolution Nudes Collection Matte in Stripped. 12 ultra pigmented nude lip shades, made up of 4 glosses, 4 mattes and 4 metallics. A formula that glides evenly on to lips for a bold matte, metallic or glossy finish. Stripped – soft brown matte.

How I find it

I always apply a good moisturising lip balm when I do my face makeup at the start of the day to hydrate and moisturise my lips. Most of the time I apply lipstick when I’m about the head out, so that’s after all my breakfast, getting the kids ready, etc. Therefore I won’t have to worry about getting my lipstick on my food, on my cup, on my kids. In this case, as a matte liquid lip, I wipe my lips clean so that any food and excess lip balm is gone, then I go straight in with the product.

This liquid lipstick has a standard applicator and the formula is really nice – not gloopy, not too thick and non-drying. The formula goes on smoothly without drying way too fast, it has a slight vanilla/caramel scent that is quite pleasant and not over-powering. It dries down to a matte finish, but without that grippy feeling and no cracking as well. I can wear this up to 4-5 hours without having to touch up or worry about it. However, you will need to fix or reapply it after you have had some food. There is no to minimal transfer to cups when drinking.

Overall

Really enjoying this formula and I’ve been wearing it for 3 days in a row now. The shade is a little bit on the brown side, as I was aiming for a pinkier nude shade, but this is still appropriate for my workplace (office environment). I don’t have to worry about cracking lip colour, shrivelled up lips that are dying of dryness and flaking lips. It feels really lightweight and smooth so I think this is definitely worth the $7.20 I paid for.
