Where I got it
After Beautylish stopped stocking Deciem products, I started to purchase their products directly from the Deciem website. This has been on my cart for a couple of visits but it wasn’t until recently that I checked out with it. Mostly because they were having a heavy discount (50% off) on the Marine Hyaluronics and their Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density. This one is USD$10.90 which is around NZS$16.
What I got
This is a 30ml bottle of The Ordinary Amino Acid + B5. From the Deciem website: This concentrated solution includes Amino Acids and Amino Acid derivatives creating a combined total concentration of 17% (by weight). This resembles the composition of Amino Acids found in the skin’s own Natural Moisturising Factors and provides enhanced barrier support, elasticity, osmotic balance and desquamation. The formulation also includes a 5% (by weight) concentration of D-Panthenol which is a pro-vitamin of Vitamin B5 to provide surface and below-surface hydration while aiding in skin repair and anti-irritant functions.
Amino Acids + B5 offers non-greasy hydration support for the maintenance of healthy, functioning skin. It may cause a temporary tingling sensation upon application. If desired, the formula can be mixed with other serums or creams upon application to reduce its strength.

How I find it
After cleansing and toning, this is my first step in adding back hydration. The ultra lightweight formula feels like water from the dropper but when rubbed together and smoothed onto the face, it feels like a light lotion. It is hard to describe, but it feels watery but it has this amazing smoothness when applied to the skin, without any silicone, slippery feeling.
About 30 seconds, the serum is absorbed leaving no residue. After this first step, I have been alternating between The Ordinary Alpha Lipoic Acid or the Clarins Double Serum. I use the ALA every 3 or 4th night. During the day, I would use the Clarins V-shaping Serum after this Amino Acid Serum.
It does warn about slight tingling sensation or slight burn to sensitive skin, but I had no issues at all and my skin loves it. I use this twice daily.

Overall
Love this formula for how lightweight it is making this super easy to layer under other serums. This provides plenty of hydration for my combination oily skin with dry cheeks. It is absorbed quickly so other layering products can be applied straight away. It leaves no sticky residue or causes any pilling with other products.
After using this my skin is much more hydrated and supple. Sometimes I will use this and a facial oil to complete my nighttime skincare routine! Apart from the Marine Hyaluronics that I love so much already, I think I found another favourite!
