Where I got it: If you don’t know yet, I’ve been visiting the Chemist Warehouse a lot lately for new products at discounted prices compared to Farmers and the like. For example, this highlight is $18.99 from $19.99. Not a big discount but nonetheless, they do have other products that have a better discount than this. I think this highlighter also comes in other shades, but probably not available in New Zealand as I have only seen other shades online, not in stores.

What I got: This is the Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter by Maybelline in 100 Molten Gold. Here is the secret to brilliant and luminous skin: Maybelline New York’s Facestudio Master Chrome Metallic Powder Highlighter. Bring on a brighter complexion by creating a chrome effect with our highlighter. Highlight your best features as the powder drenches the skin in a melted metallic finish. The illuminating powder consists of a blend of pearl pigments and metallic chrome sheen that leaves a reflective finish for a brilliant skin glow.

How I find it: The highlighter in the pan is already looking amazing. When swatched it looks just as pretty! The shade is literally metallic gold! You only need a light hand with a fan brush or a fluffy highlighter brush to apply to your cheekbones and wherever you want to highlight. I would steer away from down the nose as I find having a metallic gold shade down my nose a little unnatural and too strong. I prefer more of a champagne or something with a pink undertone.

Overall: It’s beautiful – the shade, the formula, and the finish. The packaging is really simple so there’s not much to it. You can see the shade easily and it’s a good pan size to get your brush in and get a decent coat of product. The product has pretty good staying power and works quite good over foundation without moving things around because it is pigmented and transfers from brush to face effortlessly. Definitely, something that you can use on your eyes as well.
