ColourPop Supernova Liquid Eyeshadows

Where I got it: I got this from the ColourPop website for USD$7.00 each. They are not newly launched but I have seen them compared with the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow and they performed pretty well. If you follow my blog or Instagram, you may have seen my Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow post that I am in love with them. So when there is a close $6 dupe, I put my hand up right away. I ordered these on 30/4 and received them on 10/5 which is just under 2 weeks.

ColourPop Supernova Liquid Eyeshadows

What I got: These are the ColourPop Supernova Liquid Eyeshadows in From The Valley, Running in Orbits, Lucky Penny and Prelude. These high-impact ultra-glittery shadows have a metallic base, are extremely long-wearing, and can be used as a base, alone, or as a topper. 4.7g of product in each tube.

Running in Orbits (out of stock) is a warm taupe with blue glitter

Lucky Penny is a silver with a teal flip.

From The Valley is a lavender with a pink/blue flip.

Prelude (out of stock) is a peach with a pink/blue flip

How I find it: Really pretty packaging and I noticed by swatching, the consistency of the different shades varies slightly. Some are smoother and some are chunkier. I would strongly suggest to swirl the applicator in the tube for a bit before using for the first time (or after a while of not using) to grab the product onto the wand because there was an odd one I swatched for the first time, the applicator had hardly any product. Goes to show that the formula is not really fluid/runny, it is more of a thicker creamy-like consistency. You can use these liquid eyeshadows as a base, as a topper, as a shimmery wash over the lids, they are so versatile. I personally like to use a similarly toned eyeshadow underneath and apply it as a topper. I think it makes the colour pop (pun intended) and gives the colour more dimension. I also like to use it as a sheer wash of colour where I apply a small amount to the centre of the eye and blend it out to the inner and outer corner. This usually works better with the lighter shades like Lucky Penny and From The Valley.

ColourPop Supernova and Stila Magnificient Metals Glitter & Glow

ColourPop Supernova and Stila Magnificient Metals Glitter & Glow

For a small comparison between the Stila Glitter & Glow and the ColourPop Supernova, the Stila one is obviously much smoother and less chunky. Stila also wins in pigmentation and longevity. Both had no fall out issue or chunks of product falling off. They both blend really beautifully and have an amazing impact on the eyes.

Overall: Beautiful packaging from the box to the tube. The tube looks similar to their liquid lip products but shorter and a little chubbier. They are the same as their No Filter Concealers but with a shiny metal cap. The shades are so gorgeous and I love every shade that I got. I will definitely be getting more when they have new shades out.
