Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil

Where I got it: I was sent this for consideration. This new product will be available from Dermalogica counters and online from 1st November nationwide. Retails for $139.00.

What I got: This is a 30ml bottle of Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil. It is the next-generation daily treatment oil to help give you a dewy, luminous skin. Boasting beautiful plant extracts from camellia and tamanu oils to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, chia seeds and orchid flower for hydration, and sunflower seeds, rice bran oil and rosemary to create an antioxidant shield. Use before you moisturise in the morning and/or at night, or mix in with your primer or foundation for an extra dewy look.

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil

How I find it: Packaged in a glass bottle with an easy drip-pour bottle design, this oil from Dermalogica has a pretty nice texture. It drips out like an oil, and when you rub it between  your hands and apply to the face, it seems to melt into the skin instead of like a thick oil that needs a bit of time to sit on the skin and sink in after a few minutes. It feels really smooth on the skin, but not greasy at all. I only need 3 drops all over my face and neck and I follow the massaging instructions that comes with the product for a skin massage to boost skin radiance. I like to use this at night and the massage feels so good after a long day. Moisturise after that to lock in all the goodness. This oil can also be used during the day and mixed in with your foundation to boost the dewy finish of your face product. I like my foundation with a natural finish so I prefer not to do that.

Dewy Skin DIY

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil

Overall: I love to apply a replenishing or recovery product at night to feed back into my skin all the vitamins, hydration, moisture and nutrients that it needs. I don’t mind my skin looking extra glowy at night because I know that my skin will drink it up and in the morning, my skin will thank me for it. This Phyto Replenishing Oil feels really good on the skin and it does not break me out. It balances out my dehydration which is causing the extra oil production to my skin so it is quite important to keep moisture levels right even for combination or oily skin. After using this for at least 2 weeks every night, I can see an improvement on my skin’s suppleness and natural radiance and there has been no clogging of the pores or increased breakouts.

To launch the new Phyto Replenish Oil, from 1st November Dermalogica counters will be offering a Dewy Skin FaceFit, a 10 minute express facial that incorporates both tips and touch to give instant dewy, radiant skin. The Dewy Skin FaceFit is ideal for normal, dry, dehydrated and lacklustre skin, and will retail for $15 or redeemable on product purchased.

The qualified Dermalogica Skin Therapist double-cleanses the skin and exfoliates using Daily Microfoliant and a BT Micro ultrasonic blade to further accelerate skin resurfacing. Following this, the skin is spritzed with a toner before the Phyto Replenish Oil is applied using the dewy skin DIY massage routine (that can also be performed at home). Finally, the prescribed Dermalogica moisturiser and primer is applied leaving the skin glowing and dewy.
