Down here in the Southern hemisphere, New Zealand is going through Winter during the month of June while everyone on the other side of the world is celebrating the Summer sun. Honestly, I quite like Winter. I love snuggling up in my fleece blanket and thick socks in front of the TV enjoying a nice cup of hot tea. During the day, I can layer on clothes with scarves and coats which switches up my outfit effortlessly.

As part of the online ambassador program for Linden Leaves, I was sent some of their products to review. I was encouraged to give my honest opinion about the products on my blog and social media so as always, I will give my honest opinions with my usual review format. Below is the lovely packaged products – they were so beautifully packaged, I didn’t want to rip them open!

Products from Linden Leaves

Porcelain Brightening Serum (30ml) $59.99: With organic white tea and wild daisy flower extract. Formulated with effective natural skin correcting ingredients to brighten, balance and to help fade the appearance of dark spots and age pigmentation for a smoother, more radiant complexion. This bottle comes with a cap and a airless pump which keeps the product fresh and light-safe. Formulated to be suitable for all skin types, this serum is gentle on the skin to treat dark spots and age pigmentation (not including acne scars, but Linden Leaves do have a facial oil that will be great for scars!). The serum has a white creamy consistency and it can be used on its own, or mixed into your usual moisturiser. The texture is rather light and glides on the skin easily. Honestly, I like to layer my products and ensure each layer has been absorbed before I apply the next product because my skin cannot take so much product at one go – it will not absorb. I use this mainly around my cheek and jaw area because I have quite uneven skintone there.

Lip Balm (10ml) $14.99: With organic white tea and manuka honey. Moisturising and healing with deep absorbing manuka honey and sweet almond oil. Certified organic white tea, high in anti-oxidants to protect the lips and help reduce visible signs of ageing. This lip balm is not scented and not coloured. It comes with a twist off cap and a squeez-y tube and applicator so you can apply directly to your lips. I prefer to squeeze it onto my ring finger and apply it onto my lips. Recently, I’ve been having the cold and that means a blocked nose and breathing with my mouth. That makes my lips dry up so easily. I have this lip balm in my pocket all the time to reapply. This lip balm is very moisturising and comfortable to use, it also does not make my lips peel which is great.

Herbalist Hand and Nail Treatment (30ml) $8.99: Formulated with a blend of sage extract to stimulate circulation, mulberry extract to minimise sun spots and reduce inflammation, aloe vera to moisturise, soothe and minimise irritation, evening primrose oil to nourish and hydrate, shea butter with anti-oxidant properties to moisturise, soften and regenerate, sesame oil, rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E. This 30ml tube of hand and nail treatment cream is very handbag and travel friendly! The treatment cream has no paraben and any synthetic colours. The texture is a bit thick and feels really smooth and protective on my hands. Currently, my cuticles have been really suffering from the winter cold so I have been applying this frequently. Easily absorbed and it feels like there is a non-greasy protective layer on the hands. I love this!

Herbalist Hand and Nail Treatment

Overall:  I love all 3 products for this Winter Wellness June edition, in particular the lip balm is such a life-saver! I even put it on my nose to help my chapped nose as well – works a treat! The hand and nail treatment is also a favorite of mine as I also keep that in close by and reapply when I want to. My cuticles are saved from the bitter cold and protected from dryness! The brightening serum will need a bit more use to see the full results, but so far, the serum feels really nice on my skin and I don’t have any allergic reactions or breakouts from it! I will continue using it to see the results.
