YSL Fusion Ink Blush

Where I got it: I got this from an auction on a facebook makeup group where the money goes to a selected charity. I got this along with the YSL Volupte Tint in Balm for a total of $30! This has only been used once which is pretty much brand new! You can find these at Farmers, Smith & Caughey, etc. for RRP$65.

What I got: This is the YSL Fusion Ink Blush in shade #2. I believe these are limited edition products so I’m not too sure how long they will be available for. It comes in a total of 4 shades. #1 is a red shade, #2 is a raspberry shade, #3 is an orange/coral shade and #4 is a plum/purple shade. There isn’t much information available from the YSL website or on the packaging itself, but it has been described to provide “a burst of colour”. Also as part of the “ink” collection, I would assume that this has a very lightweight formula with a lasting stained look.

How I find it: First of all, I thought this was a tube of lip gloss (which you can use it as a lip colour) because of the packaging. It is a slim tube with a screw top cap. Inside is a clear flexible rubber-like applicator (just like a lip gloss) with a tiny hole where the product comes out. For the back-of-the-hand swatch, I squeezed the product directly onto the back of my hand and blended it out with my fingertip. The blush comes out like a thick gel, almost like a lip gloss, but it actually has a super lightweight fresh gel texture that blends out easily. It’s not sticky at all! It smells amazing – fruity and candy like. However, you need to work quickly to blend it out because it stains quite fast! I personally like to pat it on with my fingertips one cheek at a tip because it just dries down to quick. I also love to use this on my lips as a lip tint.

Overall: I did not expect to love this blush so much – the texture, the shade, the scent, they are all amazing. Very impressed with how quick it dries down and the staining power is just phenomenal! The formula is long-lasting and does not disrupt the base makeup underneath it. However, the price tag for this is quite big and I have previously tried a similar product that is much more affordable by a Korean brand.
