Limited Edition Moisture Boost Duo from Antipodes

What I got: This is a Limited Edition Moisture Boost Duo from Antipodes. It basically contains 2 mini-sized best-loves Antipodes skincare products – Divine Face Oil (10ml) and Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream (15ml). This duo mini set is about a 3-week’s supply and it is great for travelling, a gift, or something for yourself to get to know the brand. The duo is designed to be used together for best moisturising results – Divine Face Oil first, then follow with the Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream.

How I find it:

Divine Face Oil 10ml ($36.00 for 30ml): This comes in a little glass bottle with a dropper. This face oil has scientifically shown to stimulate Type 1 collagen in human fibroblast skin cells by up to 51%. It features nutrient-rich avocado oil with vitamins A, B1, B2 and D as well as antioxidants to help defend skin from environmental damage. Rosehip oil, abundant in essential fatty acids, helps reduce the appearance of scars and wrinkles. This face oil is yellow tinted, it looks and feels exactly like rosehip oil. I use about 2 drops for the entire face, then I have to wait about 2-3 minutes for the oil to be absorbed then I would go ahead and apply the day cream as instructed. I would also use this at night without the day cream and would use 3-4 drops as an intensive hydrating boost at night (because I don’t have to worry about being shiny on the face).

Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream 15ml ($49.70 for 60ml): This comes in a mini aluminium tube. This light yet intensive aqueous formulation features world-famous antibacterial manuka honey and antioxidant Vinanza Grape from Marlborough sauvignon blanc grape seeds. This day cream has a creamy texture and smells of vanillia and mandarin. I only needed a small amount for the entire face (even the amount in the photo was a little too much, so I applied to my neck and decolletage area). The cream is a little on the thick side for me, but it doesn’t leave a greasy layer or sticky layer on my skin. It feels moisturised, but not to the point that I need to wipe it off. After about a minute, I get on with the rest of my daily routine with makeup or no makeup. This day cream howeever, does not have an SPF so I need to apply my own sunscreen which takes even more time before I can get on with the rest of my makeup.

Overall: The duo combo is great! I would’ve never bought both of these products at the same time to use. The mini set is great to introduce myself to these 2 products before I invest on the standard sizes. The oil feels luxourious and the day cream is moisturising. Once absorbed, the 2 products works well to hydrate and moisturise my face during the day. I think these 2 products will last me well over 3 weeks, I think it would last at least 7 weeks because I use a little amount. If you have really dry and dehydrated skin, that might be a different story.  So if you have dry skin, or even combination skin, try this duo mini! You won’t be disappointed!
