Shu Uemura Brow Pencil Hard Formula

Where I got it: I bought this at a Shu Uemura counter in Kyoto while I was travelling for 2100 yen which was about NZD $25.00 .

What I got: This is a brow pencil by Shu Uemura in #2 Seal Brown. Shu Uemura is not avaliable in New Zealand so while I was travelling to Japan,  I had to get it! It also comes in #3 Brown and #5 Stone Grey.

How I find it: The pencil is pre-sharpened to a special shape, much like the tip of a samurai sword only not as sharp. Shu Uemura counters provide free sharpening service all around the world. The sales recommended to use this pencil lightly and draw short strokes mimicking the natural brow hair growth.

Overall: I love it!! I have been using brow pencils for a while now and doing my brow has becoming the most important thing for my makeup. If I were to do only one makeup before going out, it would be filling my brows. This pencil is pretty hard so it is easy to control the pigment and it is difficult to over-darken your brows. The colour also suits me really well and looks really natural on me. Only bother for me is sharpening it, which I have to do that myself because there are no Shu Uemura counters in New Zealand. Here is a video of a Shu Uemura sales in Taiwan sharpening one of these brow pencils.
