Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Mini Miss Solid Perfume

Where I got it

I haven’t shopped for Dior products in a while, and it’s not because their products do not appeal to me. They do, but I’m already spending a fortune on Chanel launches, I do not have the budget to be spending on Dior launches as well. Plus, I have too much makeup that I can use!! However, when I saw this Dior solid perfume on one of the IG accounts that I follow (@gina8_23, she has the most AMAZING account and she is such a sweet person!), I knew I had to get it! It is a solid perfume in a lipstick-like format. Comes in Miss Dior EDP and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. I ordered this on Dior.co.nz for $115, and I was told they are also available at their Commercial Bay boutique. FYI Miss Dior EDP is $140, the Blooming Bouquet is $115.

What I got

This is the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Mini Miss Solid Perfume (3.2g). Dior has created its first alcohol-free solid perfume with a transparent finish that imbues the skin with the fresh and tender notes of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet.

A mini-object with maxi-effects, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Mini Miss solid perfume is composed of 81%* natural-origin ingredients and enriched with rose wax. The stick melts comfortably onto the skin, without any sticky residue, perfuming, moisturizing, and protecting it. A new couture fragrance application by Dior, the solid perfume is to be applied directly on pulse points (neck, décolleté, wrists) on its own or as a complementary touch-up to the spray.

A true couture object, the fragrance stick is housed in a jacquard case woven with the houndstooth pattern, a signature of the Dior wardrobe style. Reflecting the elegant and joyful spirit of Miss Dior, this solid perfume reinvents the art of Dior perfuming and will become the on-the-go couture accessory you won’t want to do without.

How I find it

Dior products are truly a treat to look at even if you don’t use them. The packaging of this solid perfume is gorgeous! Pink and white in colour, the silver case echos the perfume bottle perfectly. The solid perfume twists up just like lipstick but it is transparent with a hint of purple-pink colour.

This solid perfume has a jelly-like outlook, reminding me of colour-changing lip balms when I was a kid. I would say this would at most be a top-up of fragrance, instead of an all-over body fragrance that would last you the entire day. This is designed to be smelled at an intimate level – by yourself or someone who will be very close to you. Applying it around the neck, back of the ears, and your wrists, etc.  you will be able to smell it around you constantly. Small enough to slip into your handbag to touch up as well.

Overall

All in all, this is not a very high value-for-money item, but it is undoubtedly a collector’s item. It is cute, girly, fun, and beautiful to look at, but for $115, it won’t be able to give you as much fragrance as a bottle of perfume would. If you already love the Blooming Bouquet or Miss Dior and you already have a bottle of the EDP, this would be a cute little addition to your collection. For an effective perfume touch-up, I would recommend either the roller-ball version instead. For long-lasting fragrance, layer the perfumed body lotion before applying perfume.
