Clarins V-facial Intensive Wrap

Where I got it

It is Christmas value packs again at Clarins and Life Pharmacy gets to do this first before Farmers. Usually Farmers and Life Pharmacy alternate when they do gift with purchase, but Life Pharmacy also does these 15% off everything + Living rewards, which is the Life Pharmacy rewards program. The sets are very good value for money if you need to stock up and my mother in law does this big shop every second time they have these sets (they do this probably every season or maybe 3 times a year?). They have a lot of gift packs with the Double Serum, some makeup sets, body care sets, etc. The most popular amongst these packs are the Super Restorative set with the Double Serum. They often sell out and get back-ordered.

Anyway, I diverged. My mother in law picked up a Double Serum with the travel size Nutri-Lumiere day and night cream (15ml each) as well as the Nutri-lumiere Day cream set with the some deluxe sample size products from the same range. They all come in these ready-to-gift boxes with beautiful pouches inside. When I went into collect her products, I also looked for this one product that i have been wanting to try and I found the last one on the shelf! Weirdly, it is not displayed on the tester stand so I had to search through the shelf. Anyway, it is the V-facial Intense Wrap and it was $92 before discount. I found this on the ClarinsNZ website for only $90 – link here.

Clarins V-facial Intensive Wrap

How I find it

This is a clay-based mask and it had a really interesting, fluffy soufflé-like texture. It is thick and goes on white and doesn’t really dry down like a normal clay mask. As you can see below, I used the V-facial Intensive Wrap on the lower part of my face, and the HydraQuench Cream-Mask on my forehead. I did not experience any tightening or lifting feeling, nor did it feel drying on the skin. After about 10 minutes, I wash everything off under running water with a bit of help with a cleansing cloth. The wrap mask needed a little bit of help to remove.

I couldn’t see any significant de-puffing for my face after the first use, but I don’t really experience puffiness on my face a lot anyway. After cleansing it off, I also like to use an oil-serum or a balm all over my face and use either a guasha or face roller to assist with massage, lymphatic drainage and just overall circulation.

Overall

Overall, I really love the texture of this mask and the smell gives me a very pleasant experience and whenever I wash this off, my face feels clean, but still comfortable. Not to the point that it feels like a drying clay mask, because this also adds hydration and moisture to the skin. Now, let’s talk about the de-puffing effects of this mask. I have been using this for maybe 3 times a week for 4 weeks now and I also use my Foreo Bear Facial Toning device which is a micro-current massaging tool. So after washing this off, I apply a hydrating serum with a good slip and just run my device upwards focusing on my jawline and cheekbone area because these are the areas I would be prone to puffiness. I notice a little bit of a difference with the overall puffiness around the lower part of my face. It might be all the massaging I did to my face recently, but I am quite happy with the results.

Personally, I do not have a big issue with puffiness in the face, but I do need that brightening and lifting benefits it offers and I can clearly see the brightening and gentle cleansing results. I love the texture of this mask and I think even if it is not amazing with depuffing and lifting, I think this makes a good brightening mask. However, unfortunately it would not be something I would repurchase due to the performance does not equate to the price of this product.

Have you tried this mask and how did you find it?
