Where I got it

Around late October Farmers sent me an email and posted me a pamphlet about an exclusive Beauty Club sale for 5 days. We were offered 15% off across the entire beauty and fragrance area except for a couple of brands (Chanel, Dior, The Ordinary, Glasshouse Fragrance, etc.). There were also gift with purchases and Double Points for the brands that were not 15% off. Shiseido had 15% off and also gift with purchase.

This moisturiser is $59.50 (from $70) after discount and it qualified for gift with purchase.

This is the Shiseido Waso Colour-Smart Day Moisturiser Oil-free SPF30 (50ml). A skin-brightening, tinted day moisturizer that adapts to your skin color to enhance skin tone with long-lasting hydration. Helps protect skin against UV rays and environmental stressors while improving the look of pores. Formulated with whole Carrot Cells, the nutrients are carefully extracted to keep their wholeness harnessed and to help hydrate skin. Carrots are high in water content and nutrients that keep skin looking healthy.

How I find it

This tinted moisturiser is oil-free so it’s great from my combination-oily skin. It has SPF30 which is great so I don’t need to layer on a sunscreen product underneath. I was quite surprised that the moisturiser is quite mattifying on the skin and it evened out my skin tone quite well. I was quite satisfied with the sheer-medium coverage it gives for a weekend, relaxed makeup look.

I applied a dusting of loose powder over my t-zone area to extend the wear and even though it wasn’t long-lasting, it didn’t wear off in patches or get into pores and fine lines. It wore off naturally without making me look greasy or dry in certain areas.

Overall

I wasn’t expecting a nice coverage from this tinted moisturiser but I love how it evened out my skin tone and provides very natural coverage and finish, which was another thing I wasn’t expecting. The semi-matte finish of Thai moisturiser was really comfortable on the skin. It isn’t drying, but moisturising at the same time. I loved how my skin looked after applying and it is great for a laidback, weekend makeup. Otherwise good for minimal makeup look for the office.
