L’Oreal Skin Paradise Tinted Water-Cream

Where I got it

I saw this when I was picking up some vitamins at Chemist Warehouse and I thought the packaging and idea was very appealing so I had a look if the shades suited me. I tried some Medium shades but they were quite dark and pinky on my skin so I went for the darkest in Fair. The shade range has fair, light, medium and deep with 2 intensities for fair and deep, and 3 intensities for light and medium. Not a very impressive shade range at all. I got this from the Chemist Warehouse for $xxx, but this is usually around $35 in places like Farmers or Life Pharmacy, etc.

How I find it

This water-cream is super dewy on the skin and the coverage is sheer. I tried using this without a primer and my skin looked super glowy! The coverage is really sheer, more like a BB cream but evens out skin tone slightly. If you have oily skin and do not prefer that dewy look, you might want to avoid it.

I have combination oily skin so I would definitely powder over to set it. Even after a light dusting of powder, it still looks glowy. I also tried this with a mattifying primer but it doesn’t alter the dewiness if this product. I like to use a blotting paper to blot a little before I powder so it wouldn’t look patchy.

Overall

Fair 03 is the closest shade match to my skin but it does seem a little lighter than my usual tone. It has a yellow-undertone so I prefer getting the right tone than the wrong intensity. The dewy look isn’t always what I go for because by the 3rd or 4th hour, my natural oils would come through and my foundation will melt and move around with something like this. It is hydrating on the skin, but it is definitely not something I would wear to work or on a day out. It might be good for a casual weekend or even to the beach.
