Caci Clinic at Botany Junction

So I have just been through my first ChillSculpt treatment with Caci Clinic in Botany Junction last week, I met with Jade who used to do my facials! She went through some possible risks of the treatment, asked if I had any questions or concerns. I signed some agreement forms and off we go!

I was asked to strip down to my undergarments and we took some photos of my stomach area as well as measurements and weights. I started with 59.2kg and 82cm around the waist. OMG, I am so embarassed, I don’t think I am brave enough to put these photos up, in case you are interested, please message me.

I then hopped onto the treatment bed and she applied a slightly warm gel pad onto my stomach area. It was like a sheet mask for my tummy, then she turned the machine on which has a medium volume machine noise, but it’s more like white noise for you to doze off.

She placed the machine to my abdominal area just over my belly button and the machine began sucking in my tummy area. Goodness me it was a little painful at first and uncomfortable, my skin felt like it was being pulled really tight. The device had a suck-suck-release action for 2 minutes and from then on, the action is continuous and I can feel the cold. With the gel pad, it is supposed to protect the skin from damage because of the -5degree temperature.

By around 10 minutes, my tummy did feel numb and no longer feeling pain, just the sensation of my tummy being sucked out. The area is cold, and my shoulders are a bit cold. She put a blanket over my legs and torso, but I would actually ask her to turn the air-con down so it’s not too cold. She checked in on me twice during the entire 54mins treatment and I was able to do things on my phone, and even book in a facial next time I’m in. Kill two birds with one stone.

Just 2 minutes before the session is finished, the machine starts to get back to -2degrees, and the suction is reduced gradually. After the machine is done, she removes the device off me and the gel pad as well. She then gives my tummy area a gentle massage to facilitate lymphatic drainage and ensure the area has good blood circulation.

During the treatment

She advised me to not do rigorous exercise or anything that will rub roughly against my tummy, drink heaps of water, maintain a good diet and regular exercise. Massaging at home does help the body to flush away the crystallised fat cells and the fat cells will drain when I urinate.

I have redness around my tummy area but it pretty much went back to normal in two hours. My skin is quite resilient so each person reacts quite differently. I don’t think I will see any bruising but some people do see bruising or tenderness. I have not experienced any bloating or sensitivity as well and I feel absolutely normal. I will need to wait for another 4 weeks before updating with any progress and by then, it will be my second treatment.
