Maybelline SuperStay 24hr Foundation

Where I got it: I got this from a recent brand outlet sale for I think $16. I think the SuperStay is available at Farmers but I have yet to check out how much they are.

What I got: This is a 30ml bottle of the Maybelline SuperStay 24hr Foundation in 30 Sand. Be your own professional makeup artist with Maybelline’s full coverage 24H foundation. Saturated colour pigments provide an ultra-transforming effect in this long-lasting foundation. The lightweight, yet high-impact coverage formula glides onto the skin for a flawless makeup finish that lasts all day. Oil-free. Doesn’t clog pores. Dermatologist tested.

How I find it: As with all of my other liquid foundations, I like to use either a dampened sponge or a paddle brush to blend the foundation. I use a full pump all over my face, applying with my fingertips and blend with a sponge or brush. This foundation is on the full coverage side if you use 2 pumps, but medium if you use 1 pump. I like to use an extra half a pump for my problem areas because I don’t like using concealers on my cheeks to cover up acne scarring and discolourations. The shade I got is quite a good neutral beige shade that fits me perfectly. I would always powder over to set my foundation, but I would also use my Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder to set my entire face because it is not shimmery and it gives a beautiful natural glow on the skin. The foundation does not oxidize or change colours during the day and it lasts pretty well. I would usually start to see oil around my nose and forehead after 3 hours of wearing foundation (if I am not wearing ultra mattifying products).

Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation

Overall: I like it. Even though this is not advertised as a mattifying foundation, it is long-wear and long-wear is usually mattifying to some extent because oils from the skin would melt foundation. I like how it is oil-free so that I don’t have to worry about putting more oil on my skin. The natural to semi-matte finish is something I really like when I want to choose a foundation that is not dewy (I don’t like the super-matte foundations).  This is a good foundation for me to wear every day to work and not have to worry about touching up. It is also not cakey so I don’t look like I’m trying too hard. I think when my texture improves from my Reformaskin treatment plan, I would only need to use 1 pump to cover my entire face.
