Kiss me Heroine Make Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Where I got it: I got this from Yestyle.com for $16.30. I have seen this product from my local Japan Mart as well for around $23-$25. This is a very popular Japanese brand in Asia and I have tried their mascaras before and really like them.

What I got: This is the Kiss me Heroine Make Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in BlackA deep, dazzling black eyeliner with an ultra-fine, yet flexible tip for ease and precise application. Waterproof and sweatproof, the liquid eyeliner comes with a quick dry formula to prevent smudges and smears. Long wearing and with an intense shade, eyes are enhanced and defined for hours on end, without the need of touch-ups.

How I find it: This eyeliner has an ultra-fine brush tip and is intense black. It has a semi-matte finish and does not bleed or run at all. I always curl my lashes before I use eyeliner so that I don’t ruin my eyeliner with my lash curler pressing on it. This eyeliner brush applicator is very easy to use but it very soft and a little bit long. If you are not used to liquid eyeliners, these long and soft brush-type applicators can be a little difficult to control. I also use the Stila Stay All Day liquid eyeliner and that has a felt tip which is a little bit more firm (you will see below), hence a little bit easy to control.

Kiss me vs Stila

As you can see in the picture, both eyeliners are very similar in shape and size. The picture below shows how both eyeliners look on the skin – both are super pigmented and intense black. They do not drag or skip, they draw perfectly and you just need to make sure your eyes are not oily or wet otherwise it might not apply correctly and might even affect the applicator tip.

I did a quick comparison between the Stila and the Kiss Me eyeliner and they both performed amazingly. I ran water over then and pat dry without any smudges or run-off, I then used a cleansing balm to remove the eyeliner and Stila stayed on quite well, but I am very satisfied with both formula.

Overall: I used to use the Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner (another Japanese brand) until that ran out and I couldn’t find it again in New Zealand, I reached for L’Oreal for an alternative which very really disappointing, then I also tried one from Clarins and another one from MAC which was also disappointing. They all smudge and melted around my eyes because my eyes can tear up easily and I have slightly oily eyelids. When I got my hands on Stila, I started to gain trust in liquid eyeliners again and I’m on the search for more “real-waterproof” eyeliners. I love wearing eyeliner because it makes my eyes bigger and more awake, but I hate having to check the mirror every hour to see if my eyeliner has melted to my undereye area. The Kiss Me and Stila are pretty much the same but with Kiss Me slightly cheaper, I might repurchase that in the future provided that it is still readily available
