Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in oil and Wipes in oil

Where I got it: I got this from Life Pharmacy while they were having a 25% off for all Garnier products! They are RRP$10.99 and $17.50 for the wipes and the water in oil respectively. You should be able to find them in supermarkets, pharmacies, Farmers, etc.

What I got: These are the new Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in oil and Wipes in oil. They are new to the Garnier Micellar Water range for the removal of waterproof makeup suitable for dry/sensitive skin. For the 1st time, Garnier Micellar technology is formulated with nourishing oils. The micelles (cleansing agents) capture impurities like a magnet & lift away dirt from the skin, whilst the oils instantly dissolve all types of make-up.  Cleanse and nourish the feel of skin, in one step without rinsing.

How I find it:

Micellar Cleansing Water in oil (400ml – approx 200 uses). Garnier Micellar technology is formulated with nourishing oils. The micelles (cleansing agents) capture impurities like a magnet & lift away dirt from the skin, whilst the oils instantly dissolve all types of make-up. Cleanse and nourish the feel of skin, in one step without rinsing.

With its clear bottle design, you can see the oil and micellar water parts. You simply give it a good shake and saturate a cotton pad and remove makeup from the face. For the eye area, I leave the cotton pad on for about 30 seconds and wipe off gently. It is almost like a bi-phase eye makeup remover with micellar water at the bottom. It effectively removed my beloved waterproof mascara that does not crumble, fade, melt or flake off during the entire day. The micellar water in oil smells really nice but can be irritating to people who are sensitive to fragrance. It doesn’t leave a greasy residue on the skin, but it does leave the skin feeling softened. Regardless, I always double cleanse so I will always use a cleanser if I were to use this to remove makeup at night. If I were to use this to remove makeup during the day to change from daytime to nighttime makeup, then I probably don’t need to double cleanse and would apply a light primer/moisturiser before I re-apply any make up.

Micellar Cleansing Wipes in oil (25 embossed sheets). Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Wipes are soaked with Micellar water that captures impurities like a magnet and combined with oils, instantly dissolves all types of makeup, even waterproof, leaving your skin feeling soothed.

These sheets are quite thick and embossed. They are not that large but they are quite moist with the cleansing solution. It effectively removes all my makeup including waterproof mascara but I would prefer to use the cleansing water in oil with a cotton pad more than the cleansing wipe just because the cotton pads are a little softer and gentle. However, these are convenient for the gym and for travelling. If you cut these into smaller sections, they would be great for fixing mascara meltdowns at work or removing long-lasting lip colours during the day.

Overall: I really enjoy the cleansing wipes because they are so convenient to use and removes my waterproof mascara and eyeliner effortlessly! Sometimes I will use another sheet if I am wearing heavy duty foundation as well as full eye makeup. It does leave a slight layer of film on the skin but it’s not a greasy film or oily, just moisturising. However, I always make sure I double cleanse so after I use the cleansing wipe, I hope into the shower to wash my face. With the cleansing water in oil, it is pretty much like a big bottle of 2-phased eye makeup remover. I use it on a cotton pad and I love using this to remove my waterproof eye makeup up.  I don’t use it much for overall face makeup removal because it is just a little slow to removing everything compared to using a cleansing oil or the cleansing cloth. I really enjoy both of these products and the bonus is that they smell great! It doesn’t break me out as long as I wash my face.
