Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24hr foundation

How I find it: After my usual skincare, I like to apply a primer before my foundation – sometimes I choose a mattifying primer, sometimes a illuminating primer and sometimes a colour-correcting primer. In this case, because this foundation is already a mattifying foundation, I like to use a colour-correcting primer. After the primer has set, I use about 2 pumps of this on the back of my hand and then with my fingertips I dab the foundation on my face. I like to blend this foundation with my fingers because the foundation sets quite fast and my fingers are usually faster. I like to dab then blend with this foundation rather than dab all over the face then blend due to the quick set nature of this foundation. I focus on the areas around my eyes and nose and mouth because they tend to be a bit dry and this foundation will catch onto dry patches just slightly. After that, I don’t even need to apply a mattifying powder, but just a setting powder over the top and it’s all done.

Wearing Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24hr foundation

Overall: This shade is exactly the same as the Teint Miracle Foundation, but since the Teint Miracle is more of a illuminating foundation, it is slightly lighter/brighter than this one. This foundation has a more matte finish compared to the Teint Miracle, but it is not drying. It provide medium to full coverage and at the same time great staying power. It does have a rather strong scent that I’m not much a big fan of, but nonetheless the foundation sits really well on my skin without falling into my pores. I don’t really need to use a mattifying primer but I do like to use a setting powder to set this foundation. Using fingers to apply already gives you a nice even coverage, but if you like to use a brush to apply, I love to use a flat top kabuki brush to buff it in for a flawless look.
