Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Range

Where I got it: I won this through Stacey Banfield’s Instagram page a few weeks ago when she collaborated with Jurlique NZ for a giveaway on some skincare products. The product range was specific to my skincare concern and skin type so I was sent these products. You can purchase Jurlique products in many locations – Smith & Caughey, some Life Pharmacies and other department stores.

What I got: I was sent the Jurliqe Rose Moisture Plus range – Moisturising Cleanser, Daily Moisture Balancing Serum and a Daily Moisture Balancing Serum. Jurlique Moisture Plus is a perfect range for putting the moisture back in after an intensive clay mask or people who are looking for a moisturising range that doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily and heavy.

Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Range

Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cleanser (80g)A lightly whipped, high performance cleanser with an antioxidant complex and skin conditioning ingredients that dissolve impurities and help moisturize the skin.

  • Dissolves dirt and impurities while enhancing cell turnover.
  • Provides immediate and lasting hydration to the skin’s surface.
  • Improves overall skin texture with continued use.

I have been using this cleanser at night in the shower. Sometimes with my Clarisonic, sometimes just with my fingers. It lathers up really well and smells really strong of roses, however a little too strong. It cleanses very nicely, but I would say that it is a little drying afterwards.

Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cleanser

Rose Moisture Plus Daily Moisture Balancing Serum (50ml). An antioxidant-rich, replenishing serum designed to absorb easily and provide the skin with essential fatty acids to help moisturize and protect the skin.

  • Addresses the signs of dehydration
  • Helps protect the skin’s barrier with nutrient rich botanicals
  • Provides extended moisture to keep skin cushioned, fresh and looking radiant.

Really comfortable serum which feels like a normal moisturising lotion. It is lightweight and hydrating, not greasy or thick. I use this after my essence, day and night. It layers on with my other serum without any problems and it is absorbed quickly for my moisturiser afterwards. I would say that this is more balancing and lightly hydrating more than moisturising. Definitely will need a moisturiser afterwards.

Rose Moisture Plus Revitalising Gel Lotion With Antioxidant Complex

Rose Moisture Plus Revitalising Gel Lotion With Antioxidant Complex (30ml). A silky water-gel emulsion to help protect against environmental aggressors, hydrate, smooth and soften the skin.

  • Cooling properties protect and replenish.
  • Helps protect against environmental aggressors
  • Helps to smooth, moisturise and soften skin.

This gel lotion has a really interesting texture! From the tub, it is really hard to pick up with my fingers so I need to use a little spatula to get the product out. It almost feel like jelly in the tub and it has a really refreshing water-gel texture on the skin. It hydrates the skin and softens the skin. I do think that it is probably not moisturising enough for dry skin or even normal skin during winter or dryer nights. Smells amazing though!

Rose Moisture Plus Daily Moisture Balancing Serum

Overall: In my opinion, this range is most suitable for oily or combination oily skin because it hydrates the skin while leaving the skin fresh and non-greasy. The serum feels great on the skin and can be added to an existing skincare routine without over-loading the skin. The cleanser is really suitable for use at night time after makeup removal because it cleanses very well (I usually use a cream or non-foaming cleanser during the day because there is less grime to remove). The gel moisturiser is nice, but as a final moisturiser I find that it may be a little too light especially on my cheeks (usually normal to dry). I really love the rose scent so I still really like this range and I will using it.
