Unboxing Lust have it July 2015

Where I got it: I was sent the July issue of Lust have it! subscription service. Lust have it is a subscription service providing beauty samples. For $19.90 each month, you will receive 5-6 deluxe sample sized beauty products where at least one of them will be full sized! They have recently changed their packaging from mesh bag to a card box, but now back to the mesh bag. Personally I don’t really mind because I don’t keep either, but I think the mesh bags keeps the products in much nicely.

What I got: This is the July issue of the Lust have it! It comes in a red mesh bag and a card containing all the information of the products in the box. This month is is a mixture of skincare and makeup with brands that are new to me and brands I have tried previously. Let’s take a look what’s inside this month’s bag/box!

How I find it:

Be A Bombshell The One Stick in Southern Belle (RRP$24 from www.beabombshellcosmetics.com). The all-in-one multiple stick with a smooth texture. Apply to eyelids, cheeks or lips for the perfect pop of colour anywhere. Apply as you would regular eyeshadow, blush or lipgloss. This multi-purpose stick is highly pigmented! As a blush, you need to be really careful if you apply directly the the cheeks. I would recommend controlling the intensity by applying this with your fingertips instead of directly onto the skin. Blend it out with fingers or a beauty blender.

Be A Bombshell Lip Gloss in Taupeless ($21 from www.beabombshellcosmetics.com). A lipgloss formula that offers long lasting colour and high shine. Apply to top and bottom lips for full coverage. For sheer coverage, apply to lower lip only and blot lips together. This lip gloss is a reddish brown shade which is nothing taupe about it really. It is glossy and looks quite good on my natural lip color and skin tone! No sticky feeling.

Hikari Eyeshadow Quad in Halle ($22.50 from www.hikaricosmetics.com). High pigment, easy to blend, long lasting eye shadow. Shades in Halle: almond, champagne, majestic, brownie. The compact comes with a dual ended sponge tip but no mirror. The eyeshadow is medium pigmented and the colours go well with each other. They are easy to wear with a base colour, a highlight colour, a darker shade and the main shade. Quality is not very high so the texture is not that fine and not as long lasting.

Paula’s Choice Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair Retinol Serum 7ml ($52 for 30ml on www.paulaschoice.com.au). An exclusiveformulathat utilizes a proprietaryblend of highly stabilized retinol, potent antioxidants and skin-repairing ingredients. It’s soothing, silky texture goes to work immediately to help skin of any age look and act younger. I am already a fan of Paula’s Choice products and was super excited to see this in this month’s box. I have not tried this product before but have bought their other retinol products and love them. This serum is a clear gel-serum with a slight yellow tinge. It applies onto the skin smoothly like a silicon primer crossed with a facial oil. It seems to leave a film on the skin that is slightly greasy and oily, but after about a minute or so, it is all absorbed and I then follow with a night moisturiser. Overnight, my skin feels and looks so smooth!

Racinne Ultimate Aqua Blanc Series Aqua Blanc Concentrate (from www.racinne.com.au). With the use of the revolutionary “callus cultivation technology”, eight different precious moisturising extracts are combined into an ultra-fine concentrate which instantly energizes skin cells, promotes blood circulation and removes dead cells. Snow lotus stem cells have natural antioxidant and moisturising properties that prevent pigment formation and thus has the capacity to restore youthful suppleness, revealing a healthy luminous glow. This is suitable for normal to combination skin.

Overall: This month’s bag has a good mixture of skincare, makeup and body/hair care. I was unable to find out the exact value of this month’s box because the pricing information for the Racinne concentrate and the Paula’s Choice serum has not been provided. However, the value of the rest of the products are well over the price of the box. The combination of things are actually quite nice. I really liked the skincare products, but I hardly use eye shadow so I gave that away. I like the all in one stick, but I already have heaps of products like this so that is another product I gave away.
