Manuka Doctor Brightening Facial Oil

Where I got it: I was sent this from the pr for consideration. You could purchase Manuka Doctor products from Life and Unichem pharmacies, selected department stores, and The Manuka Doctor concept Store, 1 Quay Street, Auckland City. This is RRP$29.95. For more information or to locate your nearest stockist please visit www.manukadr.co.nz or phone 09 300-3025.

What I got: This is a 30ml bottle of Manuka Doctor Brightening Facial Oil with a dropper and glass bottle. Formulated with powerful plant extracts, Manuka Doctor Brightening Facial Oil quickly absorbs into the skin to brighten and smooth uneven skin tone. Along with the hero oil – Manuka, a combination of anti-oxidant rich oils including; Argan, Tamanu and Rose hip, help protect against oxidative damage, whilst deeply nourishing to hydrate, revitalise, even out skin tine and restore skin suppleness. Skin is left feeling refined and appearing more evenly toned, and most importantly luminous.

  • Manuka Oil from New Zealand – this remarkable essential oil is renowned for its potent antimicrobial, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Proven effective in combating bacteria associated with acne and eczema. Also shown to help with skin discoloration
  • Argan Oil – rich in unsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids, plant sterols, polyphenols and Vitamin E. This regenerative and restructuring oil improves skin’s flexibility and offers anti-oxidant protection
  • Tamanu Oil – a soft, smooth oil that promotes natural formation of new tissue and the growth of healthy skin
  • Avocado Oil – Vitamins A, B, D, E, protein, and lecithin, highly emollient with anti-wrinkle, anti-bacterial, and anti-oxidant properties

How I find it: After cleansing and toning, I apply 2-3 drops of this oil onto my palms, warm it up and press on to my skin. I gently massage the oil into my skin and do not use a moisturiser over it because I have combination/oily skin and this oil gives me enough moisture for the day/night. I prefer to use this at night as it tends to work better on its own as I wear makeup during the day and I don’t want things to be slipping and sliding. I also use this on my hands, neck and chest area where it is often exposed to the sun during summer.

Manuka Doctor Brightening Facial Oil

Overall: This oil has a strong Manuka oil smell which seems to be stronger than the rosehip oil scent. The oil feels lightweight and not thick so it is easy to spread out. After application, the skin feels a little greasy, but after a few minutes, the oil is absorbed leaving you with smooth, soft skin. Not necessarily matte skin, but naturally glowing and moisturised skin. So during summer, don’t just apply sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays, also apply this brightening oil at night to brighten the skin! If you have oily skin, you might be better off with their Normalising Facial Oil . If you have dry skin, you will love this with a moisturiser on top as well especially at night and winter! Otherwise try their Replenishing Facial Oil
