Little Genie Re Gen Cream and Oil

Where I got it: I was sent this for review but you can get these exclusively from Countdown.

What I got: I have a 125ml tub and a 75ml bottle of Re Gen Oil and Cream from Little Genie. Perfect for stretch marks, scars, dry skin and blemished skin. Containing PCL liquid (as used in Bio Oil), Little Genie Re-Gen Cream and Re-Gen Oil treats the skin by producing a thin hydrophobic film onto the concerned area of skin, which locks in moisture to maintain the skin’s natural hydration and regeneration process preventing it from drying out. Other essential ingredients in Re-Gen Cream and Re-Gen Oil include; Vitamin A and E to improve elasticity and firmness; Lavender; healing for dry irritated chaffed skin; Calendula and Chamomile to smooth and heal; Rosemary Oil to nourish, firm and rejuvenate skin. Dermatologically tested and approved by skin specialists to successfully treat the appearance and onset of blemishes and imperfections, Little Genie Re-Gen Cream and Re-Gen Oil improves elasticity and firmness, aiding the regeneration process for affected skin concerns, including stretch marks, wrinkles, dry dehydrated or blemished skin.

How I find it: I took the 75ml bottle of Re Gen oil to travel with me (4 weeks in Hong Kong) when I just stepped into my 2nd trimester. It was a much better size to travel with. After a hot shower (it was winter in Hong Kong), I pour a good amount on my palms and apply it all over my belly, my muffin-top area, my bust, my buttocks and my thighs. I covered all the areas where I will put on weight while carrying the baby. I was planning to use up the bottle, but a little lasted a long way so I only managed to use 4/5 of the bottle and took the rest back with me.

Re Gen Cream 125ml $24.99: The cream and the oil both works the same, but in different forms and textures. The cream is white in color and has a pleasant scent. The texture is quite soft and emollient, the cream spreads easily and it doesn’t feel greasy. However, it does take a while to absorb on the skin. I apply a good amount of this cream to my tummy, thighs, buttocks and bust to prevent stretch marks from appearing.

Re Gen Oil 75ml $15.99: This bottle of oil is very much similar to Bio Oil, but a little less thick. I find the Bio Oil a little richer, but I think they both work the same, just your preference on the texture. If you don’t compare them, you won’t even notice! The plastic bottle is squeezable so you can control the flow and amount easily. I have never had trouble of pouring out too much. After smoothing it all over my body, I usually press my palms on my face to moisturise my face a little (of course after cleansing). Feels great on my face too, but I prefer not to use too much and only when it is a dry winter.

Re Gen Oil

Overall: Lovely products, I prefer the oil because it is more convenient to use whereas the tub you need to dig your fingers in and spread it around (gets in my nails..). I think I will continue to use the cream on the body as a moisturiser instead of a stretch marks cream. I am 21 weeks now and I am not feeling any itchiness on my skin whatsoever and my skin is nicely moisturised. So I am quite confident that the oil is working. 🙂
