What I got: I got the Oxygen Skincare Teen Starter Pack (suitable for all skin types) which comes with a 200mL Foaming Cleanser, 100mL Oil control toner and a 50mL jar of Vitalising Moisturiser. I have oily/combination skin that is prone to breakouts (check out the history of my skin here.) so this is quite suitable for me. Oxygen Skincare is created in Nelson, New Zealand by Alana Riley with 18 years of experience with natural and organic business. Oxygen Skincare uses only the finest and most natural ingredients (many of which are certified organic) for the products.
How I find it:
Foaming Cleanser (all skin types): This self-foaming cleanser smells like spearmint and it is really refreshing! The cleanser is clear with a hint of green and green bentonite beads. I use one pump with dry hands and massage onto my dry face directly. I was surprised the cleanser did lather up because usually gel with dry skin doesn’t work that well. Rinse off is easy and refreshing. Cleanses well but it can leave my skin a bit dry if I don’t apply something afterwards. This is my favourite from the pack!
Oil Control Toner: I was half expecting this toner to be full of alcohol but it is the opposite! The mist is really soothing and contains no alcohol at all! Smells like spirulina with a hint of kiwifruit. The spray bottle produces a fine mist and it balances the pH of my face and prepares my skin for moisturiser. Very comfortable to use and it’s my second favourite.
Vitalising Moisturiser: This moistuiser is suitable for normal skin and combination skin. Contains marshmallows and a lovely pina colada scent. The texture is light and it gives a good amount of moisture to my oily areas, but I do need to add a little more on my dry areas.
Overall: Great products! I love the packaging and smell of them all. They are very suitable for oily-combination skin that is common for teenage girls/boys. It doesn’t give you really matte-looking skin, but it cleanses very well and doesn’t leave your skin too dry or taut. The moisturiser gives good moisture and hydration that won’t leave your skin dry on the inside and oily on the outside (this happens when your skin is dehydrated and over-produce oil to compensate).
Repurchase? My 2 favourite would be the cleanser and the toner. Georgia from barepr must’ve read my mind because I was about to publish this blog post tomorrow morning mentioning that I wanted to try their blemish gel. Then I came home after work today and saw a goodie bag with the Oxygen Blemish/Acne gel! Just what I needed and wanted to try! Super happy! Check out my review of their Blemish/Acne gel here!
