Clarins Booster Repair

Where I got it: I got this from my local Clarins counter in Life Pharmacy. I know the sales manager there and she is such a darling. We just get on so well and she is ever so helpful. Life Pharmacy was having triple points offer on all skincare, makeup and fragrance so I went shopping!! I have been interested in this booster for a while now and did not know which one would suit me. Selina asked me a few questions and recommended this to me. This is RRP$57.

What I got: This is a 15ml Clarins Booster Repair. Weakened skin? Sunburn, extreme climates, hard, salt or chlorinated water, minor cosmetic treatments. When life takes a toll on your skin, give it a tailor-made beauty boost! Mix 3-5 drops with your Clarins moisturizer, mask, serum or foundation. Booster Repair helps your skin fight back. Its unique formula is enriched with mimosa tenuiflora extract, a Mayan plant known for its recovering properties: reduces feelings of discomfort, optimizes skin recovery, minimizes the appearance of redness.

Clarins Booster Repair – nozzle at the top

How I find it: I have always been interested to see the actual packaging in real life because I always thought this would be in a pump bottle, but some pictures indicate a little nozzle. The small little glass bottle has a screw top with a little nozzle. You simply tip if upside down and press the little pump at the bottom of the bottle to dispense the product. You only need about 3 drops to mix it into your moisturiser.

The texture of this booster is an oil formula, designed to be mixed with something else like moisturiser or a cream mask to add extra benefits to the skin. The booster is a concentrated formula so you only need a little bit at a time. It has a light amber colour and spreads out evenly. On its own at the back of my hand, it feels really comfortable and non-greasy. It is easily absorbed without feeling sticky or staying on top of my skin for too long.

Overall: I have been using this for about a month now with my Avene TriAcneal Expert Emulsion at night. It has the perfect consistency when mixed in with my moisturiser. It glides if smoothly and does not leave a greasy film on the skin. It has a light brown colour but not really any fragrance at all. After using this for a month it is safe to say that my skin reacts well with it. I have had no issues with irritation, sensitivity or breakouts. After month of use, I barely 10mm down the bottle. I love how it mixes into my moisturiser without any issues, doesn’t make it oily or greasy or sticky. I don’t have any skin issues lately that needs specific repair, but it’s good to have something that will soothe and repair my skin after microdermabrasion or micro needling (not right after but after 24hrs). I would love to try the other 2 out when I’m finished with this one. I think detox would be good for my skin.
