Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion

Where I got it: I got this from my local Caci Clinic when I went in for my first skincare consultation and signed up to their Reformaskin treatment plan (see my original post here). This little bottle costs me $160 which I think is the second most expensive serum I have ever bought. The most expensive one is the other one I got at Caci as well (Active Radiance Serum).

What I got: This is a 30ml bottle of the Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion. This fast acting, multi-tasking formula fights wrinkles and loss of resilience by promoting healthy collagen and hydration levels. Immediately restores a more youthful appearance.

How I find it: I was recommended to use this once a day at night time after cleansing and toning. I use a full pump for all over my face and then follow with a moisturiser. The serum is quite lightweight and once it is blended out on the skin, it kind of disappears. It doesn’t seem to hydrate or moisturise a lot but it does make my skin tingle a little. It does not have a scent which doesn’t bother me nor appeal to me. As long as it works, then I’m happy.

Overall: The serum has lightweight creamy texture which is closer to a moisturiser than a serum. Honestly, I didn’t really see a big difference after using this for 4 months alongside my Reformaskin package. I think textural issues on the skin is quite difficult to deal with and I would probably need to use this for a much longer time to see really effective results. Once I finish this serum (about 5% to go I think), I will not repurchase and see how my skin goes with the microderm and collagen induction without this serum and see if I notice a difference. At the moment, I think using a topical collagen serum, I don’t see any results on the surface. It probably needs a few months more to see new cells turn up.
